I'm willing to acknowledge that the Civ games are good, but I've never been good at strategy games. Since Civ is turn-based it's even more foreign to me, I'm just not able to get into them.
Yes, and I loved that game. You were basically the overseer of a space station that other aliens could visit. There was also a sandbox mode where you could try to manage a huge area by yourself.
Right now my favorite is Beat Hazard. I can keep coming back to it and have fun, it also makes me feel like my music is even more awesome.
I'd go with Persona 3 FES. While KotOR 2 is also a great game, it is really buggy and incomplete. Additionally, Persona 3 FES will probably last you over 50 hours, while KotOR 2 will only last you about 20 hours.
