ezmuze+ Hamst3r edition Walkthrough Video

A new ezmuze video is up on GameTrailers. ezmuze Hamst3r Edition is super-close to release now! It's 75% through the peer review process, so I'm guessing it'll be up on the marketplace in the next week or two. There's no way to tell tho, so my guess is as certain as a Windows Progress bar. :D

Check it out:

Gametrailers is really slow, but it looks surprisingly awesome. I might even pick it up. Decided on the price yet?

Looks really nice and easy to use. I produce some music myself (http://prosmack.pharixces.net/), and this seems like a nice casual, easy to use music creation tool for people who want to simply arrange music like those "magix music maker/e-jay" products.  Only the mix down of the tracks seems to be clipping somewhat when a lot of  elements are playing together.  Very nice tunes non the less.

How does the exporting of the music work?  Will you have a function where you can write the files in mp3/wav to the xbox harddrive?

So it's like the Sony Ericson melody creator?

Thanks!  We're aiming for 800 points. Mad Ninja Skillz has actually done an ezmuze called "House and Breaks Edition", which is going for 200 points and people seem OK with that.  This new version is much better, with a new engine and interface, way more features and loops, etc. Thus this one is ezmuze+. haha. :)

Cool, I'll check your music out!

In regards to clipping: It might be that I run EZMHE with the volume boost option turned on since my TV is really crappy. Boost pushes the volume up to 0 db - though there is a Waves limiter in the XBOX 360 that's supposed to be taking care of any overs. Normal Volume mode is about -3 db quieter. Hurr. As for exporting, rendering MP3, WAV or WMA files isn't something that's supported by XNA on the XBOX 360. If EZMHE does well though we'll have more leverage to request such support from Microsoft to make rendering possible.  Right now the only way is to connect the 360 or TV to a computer or other recording device via line in. I use my USB capture device, heh.

More like Sony ACID Xpress with a loop CD.
