At this magical BBQ that has the best of both hot dogs and burgers, I'd go with a chili cheese dog, followed by a Chicago dog, followed by a spicy Polish dog, and only then would I eat a burger of any sort.

"Young Blood Era" has probably been my favorite.

13 Deadly Sims, Burgle My Bananas, Ranking of Fighters, All Systems Goku, Clue Crew, Get On My Level, Mass Alex, Million Dollar Abby, Die Another Friday, Beast in the East, and Six Crazy Frights. Ben and Abby were good additions to the site, and Dan continued to bring a welcome energy.

Which means next on my list is when Dan had just joined and they were getting into Mario Party games and such. GB Makes Mario, Metal Gear Scanlon, Demo Tapes, and just the nonsense that Dan brought to the site in general. And just roll that into the next two eras, I'm a Drew and Austin fan too.

Overall I like it all, but I guess those would be my favorite time periods in general.

I remember being a kid and not having a backlog per se, but I still had an aspirational list of games I wanted, and I feel like that's really the same thing. To me a backlog just means I already own the games and I don't have to wait for a parent or relative to buy them for me. I really don't have a collection of partially completed games.

RE: The appeal of watching AMVs these days - I'm typically drawn towards AMVs that work as a trailer for a show, I can send them to people as an example of how the show is. But I also just like hype reel and exciting AMVs. Cool factor and inspirational feel counts for a lot. They're usually songs I'm unfamiliar with, but the lyrics usually fit the show narratively, or the visuals easily conform to the narrative of the song.
