what a bummer, i'm excited to see what these new videos are like, but the year with the shoe drug (trying to remember what they called it) is what really cemented my love for this site.

So... my favorite thing on GB every year is their Game of the Year vignette / skit videos. I'm not finding those this year... am i blind or did they just replace that with the video podcast????

Anyone know when the reviews will go up? MGS5 reviews started hitting on Sunday or Monday already...

Just throwing out my 2 cents;

I would like to see more character based merchandise, similar to this image. I think there is a lot of great things that can be done with t-shirts and posters and such using cartoony characters. I'm not a fan of the deer, and while i have a few of the standard logo shirts, i find it difficult to wear them at times as i have to explain why i'm wearing a shirt that says Giant Bomb.

I'm not trying to stir up anything, honestly just curious. I don't know if I've ever been to a forum where someone just says, well that's good enough lock this one down. There seems to be a great community on these boards, but perhaps that's because things are so quickly moderated?

Recently i have been trying to be more active on the forums, but one thing keeps bugging me. Every time i find something i want to reply to, the topic has been locked. The other day i started a topic with a genuine question, got a few responses and then it was locked. I'm just not certain i understand what gives with locking the topics. If its a technical issue and has been resolved i certainly understand locking the topic. But general discussions ? Please help me understand.

So... I haven't tested this out yet, but there used to be a local LAN shop that closed up, and now they are simply an online digital store (supposedly?). and they sell digital download codes for what seems to be too good to be true, brand new games between $30-40. I keep wanting to give it a shot, and just take my chances, but haven't done it yet.

I would like to see more co-op, or multi-player focused games. I love watching the guys compete on Windjammers or Hanging with friends, something that involves several people in a competitive or cooperative manner.

The F-it lets pick a game from the chat poll, turns out funny.. once in a blue moon. But most of the time its some lame game that is not even funny for being bad. just ok we played this for 5 minutes and dont care for it, what do you want to vote for next? I would appreciate more focus on something that gets everyone involved, but that's just me.

Couldn't agree more. I don't want to come off as rude or insensitive, but when you step back and remove yourself, the entire debate becomes ridiculous.

Should there be more women as lead protagonists in video games? Sure...probably.

Should there be more African Americans as lead protagonists in video games? Sure...probably.

Should there be more homosexuals as lead protagonists in video games? Sure...probably.

Should there be more "insert oppressed group here" as lead protagonists in video games? Sure...probably.

I just don't know, at what point does it become a mathematical formula?(as is done with employees in large businesses) Where you have to say "nope we did the Asian-American Female character last year, this year is supposed to be the Jewish-Italian Transgender".

EDIT* Point being; I don't want my games controlled by statistical requirements any more than i want them controlled by whats the thing that's currently making all the money. I just want good games.

Can we go back to just enjoying games?!
