Great stuff Supermike. I definitely see where you're coming from.

If Deadly Premonition had an English release on PS3 then I would have ordered it halfway through Brad/Ryan's Endurance Run months ago. Now all I have is watching Vinny/Jeff's ER now, of which I am up to the last few eps.

Reviews have most definitely become too much of a 'business'. I don't remember such heavy nitpicking in reviews in older days than there is now.

One review that I rate as possibly the worst I've ever seen is Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's IGN review by Cam Shea. Not only is it one of the worst written reviews I've personally ever seen (by the amount of times he references another game - the way I see it you review a game AND THAT GAME ONLY!) it's just far too analytical and nitpicky. I can't tell whether he's trying to review the game as OTHERS would see it, or as HE see's it. It's pathetic.

I don't know about you (but I do know about what GiantBomb staffers certainly said) but Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is one of the greatest games I've ever played. Incredibly polished and so in-depth I played it for around 50 hours and still hadn't finished the story. If I had to give it a 'score'/'rating' it'd easily snap up a 9.5/10. Not only that, I felt that it was a HUGE step up from AC2, which while fantastic, had areas to improve, that were all fixed in ACB (apart from the terrible horse riding). Oh and on top of that there is an incredibly unique and very fun multiplayer with up to 50 levels to level up with, providing that constant feedback and incentive.

Deadly Premonitions IGN review can be looked at in the same light, a measly 2?  Now I know that it might not be the greatest game in the world, but it's still pretty damn good at what it's first off trying to achieve. That is a good enthralling story, which I have to say was top notch, no matter how kooky it is. That alone gives the game a far better score than a 2, surely? There's a lot of poor points to DP, but there's also a lot of good. The fact that I can watch the game being played nearly two times over and actually want to now go and get the game and play through it myself SURELY says something?

Anyway, this post is far too long, so I'll cut it off there. :p

Does the Sly Collection count? As I said in my own list it's a bit of a cheat as they didn't obviously come out in 2010 originally, but since I had never played them before hand and the updates to them I still consider it one of the best 2010 releases.
