E32011 List

Most Anticipated games from E3 2011.

List items

  • Looking super polished, super fun and full of epic moments. This is a guaranteed superstar game.

  • The old Hitman games offered a choice of play through each levels, this one looking a little more structured. But hopefully the freedom is still there and it can be another awesome instalment in the Hitman franchise.

  • The first was a genuine surprise in the licensed genre that is generally terrible. This thing was superb and stood right up there with the best of 2009. 2 years later we get to see how much better Rocksteady can make the Batman game franchise.

  • Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh. That is all...

Well not quite, but Assassin's Creed hasn't put a foot wrong since the woeful first effort.

Assassin's Creed 2 was amazing and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood took what AC2 did and just improved in almost everyway (let's not talk about the horse riding though).

If Revelations takes the step that AC2 did from AC1 or AC:B did from AC2, I won't be disappointed.

  • Far Cry 2 was a strange beast. One that was so flawed in so many ways, but also so damn fun. If Far Cry 3 can take the awesome from Far Cry 2 while refining and cutting what was flawed and crap then Far Cry 3 could be a superb title from Ubisoft.

  • After playing the Sly Collection this game has skyrocketed into my most anticipated games for the coming future.

With a new developer, ironically the team that remastered the Sly Collection, but seems to be in safe hands.

  • A big fan of Warhawk, with 50+ hours put into it I am really amped for the follow up.

Don't know how I am feeling about this new on-the-fly building system but it is definitely offering variety and tactical options to the game.

  • Having loved Flower and what that did. The next instalment from ThatGameCompany has me very excited. Loving the concept of a world that is in a constant state of being open to online interactions while not actually interacting all that much.

  • With a mix of open world exploration with the tried and true climbing, puzzle solving and action mechanics of old Tomb Raiders. This one has a lot of potential to be great.

I'm feeling a mix of Assassin's Creed and Uncharted and if it's anything like those games, then we're in for a treat.

  • Recently getting into the LEGO series and after playing much of Years 1-4 I am very excited to see what 5-7 can do.

  • Ken Levine looks to be on a winner here. The new vision that takes FPSing to the skies, with a lot of the same mechanics from the brilliant original Bioshock.

    Graphically gorgeous too.

  • Mixed reaction from a lot that have seen the game in motion, but as an avid fan and player of the first Resistance (mainly online). I cannot wait to see if this takes the franchise back to it's roots that made me fall in love with the series.

  • I'm not going to be getting the Vita, but any Uncharted is a good Uncharted. Sony Bend are amongst the best developers on handheld platforms (so much so they should be on the PS3 dev team) and they are looking to be keeping the Uncharted quality high.

  • Have bought each FIFA in the franchise since 09 now, putting in countless hours into the series with each title. Would be well over 300-500 hours over the time.

This one really looks to be innovating less than it has in the previous years disappointingly so. So this is why it's at the lower end of my list rather than being higher up, I am not sure where it's going and whether I'm going to be buying it as of yet. But will still look it out and see how it goes.

  • Am yet to play any Mass Effect title but it doesn't stop me looking forward to the 3rd in the franchise. I will definitely go and play ME2 to at least get a feel for the series at some point.

Mass Effect 3 looks to be taking the formula and adding a hell of a lot more.
