Guitar Hero: Metallica is getting a demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace today. The demo contains four tracks, two by Metallica as well as one by Queen and another from Alice in Chains.
It's a Half Life inspired short film and it's kick ass.

Electronic Arts has just announced that Mass Effect 2 will be heading to both the PC and Xbox 360 in "early 2010." EA didn't offer any word on a PS3 release.

Two of the more iconic character types from the Warhammer universe are finally making their way to Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Starting today, players can now create Ork Choppa and Dwarf Slayer characters and with this new content comes some new content and features to the budding MMORPG.
The tattooed Slayer is the manifestation of the Dwarfs’ obsession with honour, seeking only a heroic and honourable death in combat. However, dying quietly is simply not in his nature. In WAR, the Slayer is a ruthless and terrifying fighter, throwing himself into battle with no regard for his own well-being. SEGA announced today that three downloadable content packs will be made available for the U.S. version of Valkyria Chronicles on the PlayStation 3.
The first pack, Hard EX Mode, will let you play through the main campaign again but against tougher enemies and without the assistance of the trusty tank, Edelweiss. The second pack, an Edy mission titled "Enter the Edy Detachment," will let you play as Edy in an attempt to save a small village from the Imperial forces, after having been separated from the rest of the squad.
Last is the Selvaria mission titled "Behind Her Blue Flame," which puts you in control of an Imperial engineer named Johann assigned to Selvaria's troop. This will give players the rare opportunity to see Selvaria through the eyes of an Imperial soldier.
Although no exact release date has been set, SEGA did announce that we can expect the downloads sometime this spring.
Lord of the Rings is leaving EA and going back to the original rights holders New Line Cinema which is owned by Warner Bros. Seems the contracted time with EA lapsed at the end of 2008 but was given an extension to finish the awful LOTR: Conquest game. No news on anyone else working with the Lord of the Rings license in the gaming realm but does anyone even want more half assed games based on the movies?

SNK would like to remind you that Street Fighter IV isn't the only fighter in town. Today SNK Playmore and UTV Enterprise officially announced The King of Fighters XII for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The release of 12th edition of the legendary 3-on-3 fighter will mark the 15th anniversary of the series. The game will has undergone a complete graphical overhaul,

Hopefully the hype behind Street Fighter IV will draw some more interest SNK's way. We'll find out in July when The King of the Fighters XII hits stores.
