There's something about the "Punk Rock Murder Party" aesthetic that just works on me. If this game turns out to be "Doom + Sunset Overdrive" I'm all the way on board.
I'll second all everyone saying Sony NEX. If you get a model from a few years ago (They've mostly stagnated recently, so no need to get the newest model) it's a great way to get into photography on the cheap. The kit lens is fine to get you going, the 50mm prime lens will get you straight up hooked though. My first real camera was a Sony NEX F3 and have since gotten into photography as a side profession (I switched from Sony to Pentax). The NEX cameras are perfect for beginners. Set up to function well in full auto, and while they don't quite have the versatility of the pro gear (I just want a dang aperture ring, is that so much to ask?) its still pretty customizable.
Puzzle and Dragons has probably the most addictive match 3 mechanic I've ever played. Setting up huge combos specific to your monsters feels great and then the song that plays after each little game is great. But it's way too goddamn complicated for its own good. My time with that game had me with at least one tab open to a wiki at all times.
If we're talking unequivocal great match 3? 10,000,000 and You Must Build A Boat. I'd give the edge to 10,000,000 but I'm not sure if that's just because it came first. The music in 10,000,000 is way better also.
I'm HelicopterSpy on NA. Mid/Jungle main, willing to play just about anything. I don't play as much as I used to, but I keep meaning to get back to it. But it just turned Autumn in my game of Stardew Valley sooooooooo...
There's a League player named Balls on Cloud 9. There was a short, but fantastic period where whenever the camera was on his character that the entire crowd would yell "Baaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllsssssss"
One thing that clicked for me lately is this. It's a personal brand for the players themselves. Esports is a volatile business, always has been, will be for quite some time it seems. It's starting to get a little more stable, but things are still really rough for a player. Just recently a team qualified for the Spring 2016 season of the NA League Championship Series. The teams owners then sold their spot (LCS spots can go for >$1 million) and replaced just about the entire team and all the staff. Now they're just a bunch of amateurs, but their names are far more valuable than they were before and they can use that increased recognition to either get their foot in the door with another team, or double down on Twitch and Youtube, etc.
So Let them keep their dumb names, the world of esports is stacked against players and their identity is the one thing people can't take away from them
I got it on xbox one and the sound is kinda messed up for me. Lots of static and some of the music just seems... off. I'd have to check the last bit against the real thing, but the static is a definite turn off.
Seems like it will be a good way to play it if you don't have a PC. Seems like it's sorta straight up broken right now though. Like it'll say "Push not mapped to engage frame shift drive" or "This mission is to pick up $##commodityname". So hey, Early Access is Early Access by any other name.
@jslack: I think TSM has the potential to fall way down, maybe even below Team Liquid if they don't all get on the same page. They play too much like 4 guys and Dyrus and after seeing what happened to them at MSI, I think the stronger teams like C9, CLG, Liquid and Impulse could pick up a few strategies and really start putting a hurt on TSM. That said, I've been totally wrong about TSM falling down before. Bjergsen's still REALLY good.
