I enjoyed Heavy Rain and (most of) Indigo Prophecy, but I will probably wait until it's around $40 to pick it up. I don't agree with David Cage and him thinking the future of games is just turning them into slightly interactive movies, but I don't mind this type of game occasionally. I'm also a little disappointed that this one doesn't support the Move controller. Heavy Rain was one of the few games where motion controls actually made it better.

This sites been a godsend for me for a while. All too often I'm playing a game and thinking "Uugh...is this over yet?" and HLTB gives me a good idea.

I do the same thing. If I'm bored of a game and HLTB tells me it's only a couple more hours to go, I usually push on. Sometimes I look and realize it's another 25 hours and just abandon ship.

It's not as good as The Simpsons was in it's prime, but I will agree it has similarities. It's still adult, but without trying to be totally random or offensive like Family Guy and Archer (not that they offend me, they just try too hard lately and end up lame).

I hate to dig up old posts, but I just bought this game and heard about the difficulty spikes from various reviews. Should I play on easy, or is too easy? In RPGs I generally never avoid a battle and clear out every enemy in an area/dungeon. Is this enough? Or is it like Persona 4 where it expects you to grind each area 3 or 4 times?

Nintendo will do fine, and I hope they don't "evolve" like most people want them too. I don't want a FOURTH (counting PC/Steam) machine with the same multiplatform games. I don't want to be bombarded with twitter/facebook feeds, Skype, NFL stats and other non-gaming related garbage when I turn on my console. I just want to play Nintendo games on my Nintendo, and everything else on PC (or PS/Xbox if not on PC).

I've been using the gamepad instead of the wiimote and haven't really had any issues. You are able to lock onto specific areas which makes up for not having precise aiming controls. Having the map on the gamepad is a huge help and being about to rotate your view instead of snapping it constantly behind your character is nice. Both sets of controls work well, and can be used simultaneously. I'm mainly using the gamepad because it rarely gets any use other than NintendoLand.

Also, when you lock onto an enemy or object, press B to make all your pikmin charge at it.

The first time would be Blades of Steel on the NES, then the next memorable one would be the intro for Super Metroid. Then I got into PC gaming and discovered Lucasarts and Sierra games have had FULLY voiced games for YEARS....my mind was blown. Sam & Max Hit The Road would probably be my first fully voiced game.

it's my girlfriends birthday today and she played Animal Crossing and got a couple shitty gifts. A "men's toilet" from the townsfolk and a "potty" from her "Mom". I think it's pretty funny, but she is not impressed. It looks like you are supposed to get birthday items like sunglasses and hats. Anyone else get bad/funny gifts?
