I'm so sick of 3D, just GO AWAY!

Before I was unleashed apon the world of 3D I thought it was a good idea, 3D seemed like it just make everything more interesting, but now after being exposed to it everywhere I look I don't want to see anything in 3D ever again. Every new Blu Ray release that seems to come out now feels the need to notonly have an annyoying cardboard slip cover, but to have that 3D one that makes it so you can't make out anything on the cover. Magazines also seem to feel the need to have those 3D covers also still making it so you can't read anything on the front.

- Pause for breath -

3D movies are becoming a huge joke now, they cost alot more to see than a regular 2D movie and you have to buy the glasses. And for sombody like me that has to wear normal glasses its a right pain cause it means I have to either put the 3D glasses over my normal glasses or take off my glasses and put on the 3D ones leaving me with a decrease in my vision. Even worse I'm looking to go see Thor, and my local cinima dosn't even have a 2D version!

- Pause for breath -

Then of course theres the 3DS, which ok the 3D works, but I sat thinking to myself earlier on today that with all this money they spent on there 3D they could have just used that money to improve the quality of there handheld indcluding battery life and make the console alot cheaper. Every 3DS game I turned on I was like "Wow this looks kinda cool, but I'm never going to play it like this, so I'll just turn the 3D all the way off and never turn it on for this game ever again."

The man with the Golden Controller

I never played the original Goldeneye much, I only really played the multiplayer as I didn't own it. I went to an after school hang out club as a child, and everyday after school it was either Goldeneye 4 player multiplayer or Super Smash Bros 4 player multiplayer. I was happy to play either but I enjoyed Super Smash Bros more, but from time to time I did enjoy a good old game of Goldeneye. However the game soon had to be got rid of cause a child had nightmares about it, so the game was given away, so that was the end of that. Then I bought the game for myself about 4 years ago, I never completed it, but I did enjoy what I did play, It just got to the point where I didn't know where I was going or what I was supposed to be doing. And I don't really have friends that want to come over just to play some Goldeneye, so I did not play it for to long.

When I heard the Wii one was announced I didn't really think to much of it, I was more happy of the fact that a N64 game was going to be remade, and that got my hopes up of further companies doing the same to other classics. But I was still happy it was coming out, and I knew I would buy it. Meanwhile I had discovered the modern day shooter, I had always stuck to games like Timesplitters before, but I soon grew addicted to the modern day shooter. Then Goldeneye came out, and I'd just got paid, so I went out and bought the Limited Edition copy that came with the Golden Classic controller.

Then I delved into the multiplayer expecting to have memories of nostalgia flooding back, and the truth is, nothing came back. What I saw was a janky shooter with non-accurate controlls and me running round shooting in every direction. Being used to Modern Day Shooters it was difficuilt to get my head round this game that was stuck inbetween moden day and retro. I played a few levals of the single player and started to get the hang of it. But then other games must have took my time as I put it back on the shelf, I didn't think I'd go back to it.

Now fast forward to the present day, 4 days weekend and I have only enough money for one of the two new games that interest me. Mortal Kombat or Portal 2, I went with Mortal Kombat, and happily so. However, PSN was down so I ended up sticking closely to the story mode, even more annyoying was Giant Bomb was also down. So for the whole of Friday I sat there and just played Mortal Kombat, I finished it in one day, about 3 sittings. Very proud of myself I might add. Anyway, with GB still down and PSN still down I needed a game to play. I looked at my immense catalog and then spotted Goldeneye, I popped it back in and it happend all over again.

I sat there and played the single player for hours and hours, even when GB came back I was still limiting my time on here so I could finish it before Tuesday (I go back to work). And just now I finished it, and after some thoughts I have come up with this...Goldeneye 007 is Awesome!

Nintendo 3DS - My First Impressions

Despite my 3DS delivery problems my 3DS arrived today at around 12, for those of you unaware Amazon screwed up the 3DS's that people pre-ordered off of there site. So even though I paid extra money for it to arrive on the 25th (UK Release Day) it did not! However Amazon have refunded me the money plus a little bit extra. But enough about my money woes, a real life 3DS is sitting on my desk next to me, and that in itself is awesome! I was really excited for the console and was had a big smile on my face as I opend it all. I went for the Aqua Blue version, which to be accurate is not blue, but turquoise. The top of the console is glossy, so seconds after opening it I looked at the top to see it covered in fingerprints, I used to be so annyoyed and frustrated as a child about that stuff, but I've just learnt to live with it.

When I started the console up I was pleased to see how straightforward it all was, then it told me to turn my 3D all the way up and that countdown started, I do not think I have ever been so excited about a console before in my life than I was when that 3,2,1 countdown was on. And then voila, it was 3D! The 3D took my breath away, despite it just being some simple box's going round, it fucking works! Despite everybody saying how good the 3D was I suspected that it was not going to be that good or I would not get it to work, but hot damn this is the future right here.

After smoosing over the 3D for a while I did start to feel sick, I actully did take a break after 20 minutes or so, which I did not think I would ever have to do. In all games they say like take a break after 1 hour to avoid headaches, which I never do and Im sure not alot of people do either, but yeah they ain't kidding with the 3DS. I am very prone to travel sickness anyway so that most probbaly does not help, but yeah after a while it felt like I was trying to read in a car (Which makes me feel sick) so I had to turn it off for a while and stick with 2D for abit I don't know if I'll get ajusted to it over time, it's still fine if I don't and can only play in 3D for 30 mins at a time, cause I can just switch back to 2D for a while then go back. But from what I have played of Pilotwings Resort and Super Street Fighter IV, the games look really impressive for 2D anyway.

Face Raiders, I did not think I would enjoy this, it looked like a free thing I would come to once and go yeah that dosn't work so hot I'm not gonna try this again, but man oh man, its really good. Thats the feeling I;m getting of most of the stuff on the 3DS, I didn't epect this much off of the console and in almost every area it seems to have beaten my expextations and made it all the better. The AR cards are cool to, but I think thats the one thing I'm not going to go back to, unless i'm showing it off. I'll go into the games in fuller detail later, but Street Fighter IV is amazing and Pilotwings Resort is ok. I cannot play Pilotwings Resort with the 3D for very long as its hard to see what I'm actully doing, theres too much 3D. Street Fighters much better and improves the game because of it.

Battery Life however is pretty crap, I don't know how charged it was out of the box, but it only lasted like 1 hour and 30 miniutes, even more annyoying is that it takes a good while to charge up. However, I have a good setup of me sitting at my desk and I can leave it plugged in and run of the mains, problem solved. Another issue I thought I might have was with the Analog Stick/Nub. I used to have the original PSP and I hated that godamn analog stick/nub so much, it hurt my hand and I kept slipping off. The 3DS's is much better and I managed to get a good grip on it.

Overall very happy, my 3DS friend code is 3050 7568 1069, add me and we can trade Mii's and stuff! (Stree Fighter!)

Seya Real Soon!

My Top 10 Games of 2010

2010 is done, it has been a great year, my first full year in enployment, so as such a lot of games have come into my possession. Ok so remember this is my personal list, so don't go all ape shit when Halo Reachdosn't appear on this list. Also note that I own alot of games, and haven't had a lot of time t play certian games, prehaps if I would have spent more time with those games they would be on the list. But there not, deal with it. Also just to NOTE, Kirbys Epic Yarn has not been released in the UK...Ok enough rambaling, here are my top 10 games of 2010

1. Red Dead Redemption

I come to write this, and I do not know where to begin, I mean where do you begin when talking about a game as perfect as Red Dead Redemption. I want to do it justice, I think I shall start off with...Grand Theft Auto is JUST Red Dead Redemption, just not as good. I said it, I don't regret it, everybody's been saying Red Dead Redemption is just Grand Theft Auto, but with horses instead of cars. That insults this game so so so much, its just so much more. Ok so it shares simmilarties, its a sandbox game set in the wild west, and it starts off I do agree much like a GTA game, but as the story goes on, you soon see why its diffrent. SPOILERS START HERE! Ok so your John Marston, a guy who used to be an outlaw, the one that would run into banks with a dollar bag and rob the place. He was in a gang with a bunch of fellow outlaws. He met his girl there too, they left and wanted a normal life. They left and started up a ranch, had a kid, and started to live a life. The govnment then popped round, kidnapped Johns wife and child, and they told him if he wanted to see them alive again, he would have to kill his old gang members. John then goes to the hideout of the old gang, but gets shot and is left near dead, he then is rescued by a local rancher, and brought back up to health. The next part of the game is GTA style. You need help finding your gang members, but before you do that you need to help them. You get involved with alot of interesting stuff and meet loads of colourfull characters. You kill a few of them in the process, even travel to Mexico, help the rebels overthrow the govenment. Throughout of this, you notice a few things that seem out of place, telephones are just starting to appear, power lines and power generators. When you need to track down the last one you go to a proper city with pavement and roads and everything. You get a proper pistol in place of your revolver. You get to go in an automobile. Anyway you with the help of the army search the land fighting natives in process, who say that the people are destroying there land. You find the guy and he warns you that the govenment may let you go once you kill me, but you'll never be free, your an outlaw, they'll find you and use you again. You kill him, and so "Ends" the game. You then are let go and you are ride back to your home and are reunited with your family, credits roll? No, the game keeps going, you are given a string of missions much like the first batch on the ranch at the beggining of the game. You re connect with your son and wife, begin to set up your ranch, begin to start over. Thats when things go wrong.. Your ranch is attacked by the Amercian Army led by the govener who kidnapped your family and ordered you around during the game. They attack and you fight alot off, they kill your uncle during the attack. You make a break for it at the stables, your son and wife get on a horse and ride off, you saying you'll catch up. You watch them go away, turn around and walk towards the barn oor, peek out and see a bunch of soilders there, you take a breath, then step outside. Drawn your gun and it goes into Dead Eye mode which is a feature you use throughout the game, it goes into slow motion and allows you to set up to 6 targets then let go and it will shoot them all. You shoot and kill some, but then the rest shoot you, everywhere, you have blood stained bullet holes all over your body. You stare at them, stumble a touch, heavy breathing, you fall over, and lay in your own blood. The game now switches you to Jack, Johns son, you rush back on your horse to find John dead. It cuts to you and your mum looking over Johns grave stone, with sad music playing ofcourse. It then cuts off to Jack as an young adult, looking over two gravestones, Johns and his mother. Game ends credits role right? Wrong! There is one more mission which involves you tracking down your fathers killer, and killing him, there ends the game. SPOILERS END HERE! Red Dead has one of the best impacts a game has had on me ever, not even Metal Gear Solid had this much of an impact on me, it's a game you think is going to just be a humor filled story fillied with sexual gags and drugs. But its much more. The gameplay is very good, horse control is great and despite most of the land being barren theres alot to see and do. Sidequests and mini games galore, card games, hunting games, horseshoes, arm wrestling, horse wrangling, attacking forts just a ton of crap to do. And everything is done really well. The game's multiplayer is simmilar to GTAIV, it has a free roam mode that is like the free play mode in GTAIV, but you can gain XP in them to gain up levals. Its online is pretty good, but the best part of the game is ofcourse the single player. The game also has a really good piece of downloadable content, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. Undead Nightmare is a "What if" where a zombie virus has taken effect and is infecting everybody, so its up to John Marston to save everybody. Its captures the balck and white cheesey horror theme very well, the colour pallet is also diffrent with more greens and yellows. Red Dead Redemption is my Game of the Year 2010 for a reason, its fucking awsome.

2. Heavy Rain

I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought the game. I knew nothing really about it, I read a few things but didn't seem my thing. I bought it, I sat down and played it, went to bed, woke up and played it, and finished it. Then I was like...Oh Crap. Aside from one game I shall not mention, there is nothing like Heavy Rain, nothing. Some call it one big quick time event, I partly agree, but I'd call it a fantastic quick time event. I have played both the PS3 controller version and the Playstaion Move edition, both are great, you feel more invoved with the move controllers but the PS3 version makes it easier. If you hadn't alreadcy guessed, the game is essentially a movie at its core. Just a 6-10 hour interative movie, but a darn good one. The plot is very good and the characters are all good. The plot follows a story of 4 characters who all intertwin and eventully join the same story path. Theres plots and twists and one huge crazy twists that may or may not be to you likeing, but you can't deny its awsome. The game has over 10 endings and is a very emotional game, tear worthy. The musical score is excellent as well as the graphics as well as the story as well as the gameplay as well as everything in this game. This is the best PS3 Exlusive of the year, and comes close to being the best game of the year.

3. Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty Black Ops, has been played each weekend since it's release, no other game on this list can say that! Ok so Call of Duty, never played any till this year. I saw Modern Warfare 2 cheap at the beggining of the summer, and man I got hooked. The single player was good, I finished it but just got hooked on the multiplayer, it just hooked me and never let go. I was lucky to get into the game so late, it meant I didn't have to wait long for Black Ops. A lot of people don't like it, say its a game that you just go through explosion after explosion just shooting guys. You know what, whon cares when its this awsome! As before I finished the single player, and it was a much better single player than Modern Warfare 2's, (Although I never understood what the numbers meant :p) thats not what puts the game on this list. It's its multiplayer, I am going to go out and say that this is the best online game ever made. GTAIV comes close, but it just can't compete with all of the stuff online. Theres a ton of modes, customisable features, people playing, just a ton of stuff at your disposal. Before we get into that let me say Zombie modes back from World at War, and its great, it works on a system is you start off in an small room. You kill zombies and get points, which you can use to open doors to venture further and unlock more areas and get more wepons. Theres also this whole top seceret top down shooter which is also pretty decent. But the meat of it is the standard multiplayer, without going into to much detail, it fucking rocks! I just, I'd be here forever talking about it, so to keep it short just know you can customise your weapon to even have your custom made emblem on your gun. There's a new match type series called wager matches where you put up cod points and if you win you get more, which you use to buy upgrades for everything online. Yea good game, who cares if its not an intelligent persons games, it rocks, buy it!

4. Super Mario Galaxy 2

It's Super Mario Galaxy , but with Yoshi...Go Fucking Buy It!

5. Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver

What What WHAT! Yes I love this game, this is a game which is not on a lot of other peoples list, and I sorta see why, but then I kill those people. Ok lets go back, I loved Pokemon Silver. I had Silver and my sister had Gold, and I played this game to death, its my favorite Pokemon game. The fact that it has what I think is enough Pokemon. I felt this was enough Pokemon to still be plesent, and they still had ideas. They lost there way after this and created a hell of a lot more Pokemon, but here it was just nice and I could name mostly all of them. Now the remake is a very good remake, very rarely do we have a remake that does what a remake should. Essentially be the same game with updated graphics and sound while adding a few extra moments. All of your favorite Pokemon are back and its just good old nostalgia at its best. Plus comon this is double nostalgia as you get to go back to the place where Pokemon Red/Blue takes place to, so yea de ja vu vu vu vu vu out!

6. GoldenEye 007

Straight off the bat I have a confession to make, I'm not that much a fan of the original Goldeneye, ok before you shoot me let me say that because my parents wouldn't let me have it, much like Conkers Bad Fur Day I wasn't allowed it. So by the time I was old enough I didn't really care cause I was on my PS2 playing Timesplitters which was essentially a "Sequel" to Goldeneye. I went back and bought Goldeneye a few years ago and I played it, a few of my friends played multiplayer with me and it was good. But it hasn't aged to well, so it was a good game, but I couldn't see what was so special about it. Never the less I was excited about this game, and I bought it as soon as it came out, I bought the £54 that came with the Golden Classic Controller, and yeah, Goldeneye! Its a great game, anti Wii people (Yes there out there!) call it a shoddy Call of Duty Low Res clone. That is NOT what you get when you play Goldeneye. Ok so the graphic's are not as sharp and polished as a PS3/360 Shooter, who cares when the core game is solid. The game is just good. It isn't so much a remake of the game, there are a few nods to fans of the original, you shoot that guy in the head in the toilet, but after you come out of the bathroom your like...This is new. The game has excelent action sequences and really captures what made the original what it is (Or so I've heard). Yeah Goldeneye, ignore the fact that that blond dude takes away the role of Bond from Piers Brosman, its a fantastic game.

7. Donkey Kong Country Returns

A lot of the children today know Donkey Kong from Mario's Party games and Mario's Sport games, if you say Donkey Kong's back in his own game, they'll be like "Dude Donkey Kong has never been in his own game". Its a sad day for Donkey Kong, or so it was, this game came out, and brought Donkey Kong back to his rightfull place as King of the Swingers. Donkey Kong Country Returns goes back to his golden days as a 2D platformer, it's slightly simmilar to Mario's design. But it has a bunch of diffrent stuff that makes it nothing like Mario. Contridictions aside it's all about Cannons, rolling and jumping. I don't need to tell you much about the game as its a platformer, but its a great platformer. The soundtrack is nostalgic and fresh at the same time . The art style on some of the levals are bloody beutifull. The black on orange levals are great. Theres just not alot to say about this game other than the fact its a chanllenging retro style platformer thats great!

8. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

Professor Layton has been around for a while, we were all plesently suprised by his first game, it was a concept that had not been done this well before. But as its the third game with the basically unchanged game mechanics does that make it worse and dull and we've already seen this before? No! Professor Layton and the Lost Future (As it's known in the UK) more of the same, but the "Same" is just great! But what they do is make the puzzles more relevent to whats oing on, in the first game puzles were kinda random and had nothing to do with the story and whats going on. The second one was better but this one is much better in that fact. The puzzles themselves are a great selection of classics and new ones, they have yet to repeat puzzles from past games to so they still have a lot of good ideas. The puzzles also feel fresh, there not like there diggining the bottom of the barrel puzzles either there clever puzzles. The story is very good, clever as always and a lot of mysterys to be solved. There are more cutscenes and dialogue voiced sequences which is as before very stylised. Professor Layton is one of the most likeable characters, I would love to go round thise guys house and have tea. His backstory is developed in this game including how he gets his hat. Simpply put, this needs to be in yor DS Collection if its not already, which it should be!

9. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

One of the oldest video game franchise's that rivals that of even Mario is happily back into the spotlight of modern gaming. I am so happy for Pac-Man, up untill now Pac-Man has been declining, he has been like a winner of a reality TV show like X Factor, who then goes on to do nothing in life and is only famous for that one thing he did. He always likes to bring it up to as there have been countless re-releases of the original Pac-Man. He got back on track last year with Pac-Man Championship Edition, which was great, but now its 2010, and we have Pac-Man Championship Edition...DX! Even before you start playing you already love this game, you close your eyes while the intro music is playing and you picture yourself in a undergound rave where everybody is high and playing Pac-Man, YEAH! It manages to capture the style and sound of the original Pac-Man, just make it tons better. I missed out on his first championship edition so I didn't know what to expect, and boy, Pac-Man's the dude! The concept is simmilar to the old formula, but has a much bigger emphasis on eating ghosts. You start of with one ghost following you, not a ghost that goes randomly around but he/she follows you. Everytime you past a sleeping ghost that ghost will wake up and join the other and follow you. Keep repeating and you will have a shit load of ghosts following you. Then when you think you have enough, you find a super pellet, they turn blue, and you eat them with orgasmic satisfaction. With the more points you collect the faster you go, upping the difficulty. But to make it easier everytime you come really close to a ghost it goes into bullet time, allowing you to plan where your going. If it gets to hot under the collar just activate a bomb which will send all awake ghosts to the center again. With a crap load of modes and stages and speeds and custom features, it's a shit load of Pac-Man. If your looking for your trying to get off drugs, buy Pac-Man :)

10. Age of Zombies

Age of Zombie's is fun, at it's purest form it's just a shit load of fun. Your just a dude with a whole range of weapons killing zombies, and thats it. There is a plot but its one of those plots where the developer's know that when playing this game we don't want a plot, we just wanna shoot us some zambie's. So your a dude, you are chasing this scientist dude through time and SPOILER in the end you kill him. Zombie's are there "in thing" at the moment, but this game has a zombie T-Rex, thats just awsome! Yeah so you go through diffrent parts in time covering all of the gerneric basics, you have your preostroric stages to your future stages. Your given a whole load of wepons to kill the zombies, you have a pistol ofcourse thats standard. But you get flamethrowers, uzi's, laser beams rocket launchers etc. Shooting zombies has been done before, but what keeps Age of Zombies way, way ahead of the pack is the game's graphics, humor, and gameplay -- and they're all intertwined! It has a retro feel to it, feels like it could happily be at home on the Sega Genesis. The character models are very detailed from the gansta zombies to the Zombie Ninja's. The pools of blood that splurt out of the enimies is just so so satisfying. Age of Zombie's is the perfect pick up and play game, I have it for the PS3 and thr iPhone. I had it first for the PS3 and I said to myself "I could do with some more AOZ!" The iPhone version is also updated quite frequently with new wepons and hopefully soon a few new ages. Seroiusly, Left 4 Dead ain't got nothing on Age of Zombies!

My 2010 Awards (Not my 2010 Game of the Year Awards) - Super Long

  • Ok so as this is my first proper award time on Giant Bomb I need to do some explaining, before I do my game of the year awards I do my 2010 awards. Now you may be thinking whats this crap about! Well my 2010 awards are much bigger than my Game of the year awards as this list includes games released outside this year aswell as 2010 games. So for instance one catogory is game I spent the most time on in 2010, the winner could be Banjo-Kazooie, even though Its not released this year it could win this catogory. So yeah just a thing incase you get confused, enjoy!

Most Enjoyed Family Game of 2010 - This award goes to the game that I had the most fun with playing with my family in 2010.

    Mario Kart Wii - Wii.
    Wii Fit  - Wii.
    Just Dance - Wii.
New Super Mario Bros - Wii.
    Um...Madworld - Wii.

    And the winner is...Just Dance
Yeah so Madworld counts cause my dad watched me play it and said it was the sh#t! Moving on, In a family group Just Dance had the most enjoyment. I played it at Christmas partys and it just gets everybody up and laughing, even among me and a few other family members who are hardcore gamers, with Just Dance you don't care that it is a poor game. The controls are flawed and hardly regongise your movements, there is not really any game parrts to this and whatever, we still had fun with it. So yeah thats my Family game of 2010.

Most Anticpated Game of 2010 - This award goes to the game that I couldn't wait to get my hands on this year and bought it quite quickly after it came out, it does not matter whether the game is good or not.

Proffessor Layton and the Lost Future - DS
Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver - DS
    Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions - PS3
    Red Dead Redemption - PS3
    Goldeneye - Wii

And the winner is...Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
I love Spider-Man, I have a huge love for the webslinger, the 90's TV show is one of my most watched TV show ever, I've watched it over countless times. I loved the Spider-Man game for the PS1 which did a huge fanservice to me as there was so my unlockable costumes including the Symboite costume (Which was not overused back then). Spider-Man for the PS2 I remember also playing a heck out of, I loved that game and thought that it was one of the best games ever created (Hey I was like 11!). Then Spider-Man 2 came and just blew me away, I loved GTA and well this to me was GTA, but I could webswing. I would spend hours just swinging round the city searching for radom quests or listning to the commenator cracking jokes. Then Spider-Man 3 came out and I was like meh...But then Spider-Man: Web of Shadows came out and I enjoyed it, it improved apon Spider-Man 2 because unlike Spider-Man 3 it added new mechanics to not just make it a Spider-Man 2.1. But yeah I was kinda done with Spider-Man free-roaming adventures, then Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions was announced, and boy I was super excited. I followed it all the way and was just sitting at my desk thinking of the dimensions they could pick from, then watching all the videos of the new villians being announced. Then it came out....Meh!

My most played game of 2010 - This award goes to the game I have spent the most time on in 2010

Call of Duty: Black Ops - PS3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - PS3
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - PS3
    Theme Park World - PS1
    Red Dead Redemption - PS3

And the winner is...The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
People who have followed me from Gamepspot will be aware that this is the game that won my most played game of 2008 and my most played game of 2009 and well, it's done it again! Ok so I haven't really touched the game in the past 8 months, but in the beggining of the year I played a bunch of it. I started - yet again - again. I said to myself, I'll just play it in moderation, take it easy you know I have other new games to be playing etc. I did not listen to myself at all, I completed the Theives Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, a bunch of side quests and I made it part way during the Main Quest, then I think I got a new game, and just forgot about it. I tried to g ack in last month but I had been away for to long so I just left it. But yeah I built up about 50 or so hours so that tops the rest of them.

    Best Buy of 2010 -
This award goes to the game or console that I felt I got the most for my money for.

    Banjo-Kazooie - XBLA - 1200 Microsoft Points - £10.20
Call of Duty Black Ops - PS3  -  Launch Price - About £40-£50?
    Pac-Man Championship Edition  DX - PS3 - £7 ish
Nintendo Wii 25th Mario Red Edition - £175 - With New Super Mario Bros, Red Wii Mote +, Red Nunchuck.
Super Nintendo Entertainment System - £20 - With Super Mario Bros All Stars + World + Stunt Race FX...

    And the Winner is...Banjo-Kazooie
Now hold your horses, I have my reasons for this! Banjo-Kazooie is my favorite game of all time, I'm always up for Banjo-Kazooie no matter what the time! I no longer have it as I don't have the console anymore, I bought a 360 at the beggining of the year, but stupidly sold it. But in the month I had it I bought this, and man it improve's Banjo-Kazooie! I have played the original so much I noticed every minor diffrrence. The whole speech icons were imrpoved, the Stop and Swap was brought in (And also carrys on to Banjo-Tooie for the XBLA), your musical notes stayed with you instead of respawning everytime you die and having to collect them all again. I personally would have payed much more for this and so was the best buy I made in 2010.

Worst Buy of 2010 - This award goes to the game or console that I felt i got the least for my money for.

    Playstation Move Controller's
    Eyepet: Move Edition - PS3
Super Mario All Stars - Wii
    Guitar Hero 5 - PS3
Dude I don't need to put another the answers Playstation Move Controllers

Playstation Move is good motion control, but with no good games that I wanted it was such a stupid buy. I was thinking "Oh don't worry it'll pick up and soon they'll be loads of great games taking advantage of this" Yeah that never happened, the most enjoyment I had out of it was Heavy Rain, but I sorted enjoyed the PS3 controller more.

Well there you go, on the last day of the year I will post two lists, one being my offical Game of the Year awards and also a list stating my games most looking forward to in 2011. Ok wow my hands hurt, please read and enjoy!

Ok so....

...Just under 2 years ago I posted a blog that gave my introduction and I'd said I'd get to know Giant Bomb :). Well that was an utter lie lol, after doing that blog I couldn't get into Giant Bomb, It was so diffrent to Gamespot that I chicken out and went back to the safe site. Well a few months ago I got into the Giantbombcast and that got me back in, I started watching Quick Looks and reviews and the unboxings, then I got a membership and well here I am :D. I am now really going to stay on and hopefully more blogs, more posts, more comments and more Horse Meets Rider Puns :)

My Full Hearty Introduction!

I never do know how to do these types of things as i don't know which areas to cover, but I'll give it a go and do my introduction. This blog will be aimed at two groups, but after this blog the second group will never be mentioned again.

Well the first group is fellow Giant Bombers XD. Well Hizang is not my real name, I got Hizang from a character I made in The Original Sims (The Best One) and well it just sounds so cool. I live in the United Kingdom with my mum, dad, sister, my dog Called Monty and my goldfish called Johnny who i named after Johnny Sasaski from the Metal Gear Solid Series. I am 16 and am studying Childare at a local college, in the future I wish to work in a Nusary. Ok so thats all the dulll stuff out the way, now onto what you really wanna know. My favorite games are Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the GC. I cannot decide which is my favorite out of the two so there my joint favorite. Metal Gear Solid is then ofcourse my favorite gaming series, I also really like the Ratchet and Clank series which comes in a close second. Other notable Mentions are Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie for the N64, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PS3 and Zelda games. I currently own a PS3, (Plays most PS2 and PS1 games) Wii, Ds Lite, PSP, N64 and a Zelda GBSP. (Very Cool) My favorite gaming character is Captin Qwark from the Ratchet and Clank series and just a bit of random triva I own Freshly Picked Tingles Rosy Ruppeland! Ok onto the next group.

Now this group are people who have known me before, I'm not a first timer on these types of sites oh no! I used to use Gamespot quite regualry, I was apart of it since Agust 2006, but It has changed so much, for the worse over the years. Things like them giving games just biast reviews and when sombody tries to give it a fair one they get fired (Cough JEFF Cough) and yes I miss Jeff. His reviews were the best, really unfair they made him go. I think it is time to move on from Gamespot, so here I am starting fresh on Giant Bomb, where hopefully I'll be alot happier.

Well that was quite an introduction, much better than my last one, well I hope you all get to know me as I am such a nice guy. Now I'f you'll exuse me I'm off to get aquanited with Giant Bomb.
