Valkyrie Profile 1 and 2.

1 had these awesome vignettes, and awesome premise. You play a herald of the gods who's tasked with building the world's greatest fighting force from a pool of fighters/mages who're about to die (hey, you're a Valkyrie). The game takes you through episodic content where you learn about these characters when they were alive. Then you and your team take on gods and it just gets crazier from there.

2 was your reward for playing 1--took the battle system and modernized it, made it even better. It looks gorgeous for a PS2 game. The story's not as enjoyable, in my opinion, but it's definitely worth playing if you got through 1.

Bought a Kamen Rider helmet for a small fortune that I'll be wearing on Halloween, but it's not a costume.

I thought all textbooks were made in the 70s.

If they had anyone on board who had a passion for that stuff I don't see why it couldn't work. I for one would really enjoy something like that from these guys, but unless they're familiar with that industry I'm not sure I see it happening. And I'm not sure this is the right audience for that--your average Giant Bomb user is probably kind of young. Probably.

I wish moves would come out as quickly as they did in the 2D versions. This looks like it plays kind of slow.

It's probably just easier to pull a brad when your on camera. "
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't achievements in Fallout just a matter of sinking time to get them? I've never played the DLC, but I don't remember the main game being particularly hard...

Thrawn Trilogy was pretty sweet.

It was a little bit like Luke and the Rebels versus Bean from Ender's Game.

Also, lizards as Jedi kryptonite.

I read them in elementary school, though, so I'm not sure if they hold up for aged folk. I remember liking the plot, at least, if not the writing itself.

What'd you disagree about?

Edit:

Actually, the whole piece seems a bit over-thought.

I played Baldur's Gate 2, and I feel like Dragon Age is as close to a 3D transition from that game as we're going to get. Haven't finished Dragon Age yet, but I'm already enjoying it more than BG2.
