I've had the glitch with a hogtied. I fell of a cliff my horse died and the hogtied fell in the ground then it started running 1-5 fps. After picking him up all back to normal.
But as for slow down in combat and crazy shiz ive been really impressed with it so far and never really noticed a big drop.
GTA 4 was ALOT worse.

A other thing that would make the money thing more fun but I think you cant do. With gambling just put it all on black or all-in. Didnt find any games were you play with all your money. Maybe the high stakes poker games?

In  reviews or previews I often read that in RDR money would be more of a problem and you wouldnt end up with half a mil like in most GTA games. But so far ive only been doing story missions, stranger missions, journal challenges and looting (when I am on foot) and already swimming in money after Armadillo. I bought every item and gun I came across and one horse deed and stil have 4000$ left.

Wondering if im just doing more side things then intended. What is the overall experience money wise?

How can you even be a gamer these days if those things bother you. Every singleplayer game is like a movie these days. Just sit back and enjoy the ride and thats the way I prefer it.
Go play some Starcraft 2 multiplayer bitchez!
