Do we know whether there will be maps as DLC this time around? I loved the first game and played it long after it was proclaimed "dead" (it wasn't, not on PC anyways), but community-splitting DLC is just not something I can get behind anymore.
I have loved all of Flying Hog's games so far, but don't really have the time to play this right now... well, I'll get it at Christmas time at the latest for sure!
The FoV is super narrow... it's making me feel sick already.
I hope you can change that on the PC!
According to some other commenters here you can. But even so, I can't fathom what drove them to make it THIS narrow on PS4, it looks completely unplayable.
I got the game through the monthly humble bundle and while it seems quite neat in theory, the FOV is so cripplingly low I just can't play it anymore. Unfortunately I don't think there's a way to change it in game. I'm not usually too fussy about it either, the only other game that I've found unplayable due to low FOV was the most recent Medal of Honor game.
In case you're not absolutely immune to the issue, beware (at least until somebody has thrown together a fix).
So the real outliers in the gbcast top10 compared to the community are Grow Home and Invisible Inc., the former barely making at the 29th spot and the latter not even appearing
Grow Home is a fine game, but not really top 10 material. Not this year anyway. That was just Brad doing his dirty GotY business. Invisible Inc. is probably a game that not enough people played to rank higher. I know its sitting in my Steam account waiting to be played.
Grow Home is mediocre at best, I think. The basic idea is neat, it looks cool and the sense of scale it almost awe-inspiring, but the movement controls were terrible, no matter whether you were climbing, jumping, or just walking about. I was baffled when I played it after having listened to the deliberations this year.
Invisible Inc. though, that game is absolutely brilliant. I didn't expect it to be brought up at all, so Austin arguing for it with such passion was a pleasure to listen to.
