There's something to be said for treating trans peeps with enough respect to believe they can take a relatively harmless joke, but if the jokes made them feel bad, that's not cool. I just can't see the two comments in question really offending someone very badly. It's not up to me to decide, but personally I don't feel like these jokes are ones worth calling out. That being said Patrick has nothing to apologize for, he didn't even bring it up. What else is he going to say when asked the question he was asked? "No the transphobic jokes were fine." Come on now.
I kind of like Joel Mchale, and I don't mind at all when people make fun of my hobby, or don't take the industry seriously. I think it's important to have a sense of humor about things. I didn't watch it though, so I can't say it didn't suck.
"Lets name her something really uncommon, that could easily be pronounced at least 2 different ways, that's spelled almost exactly like a very common name, and then get pissed off when people get it wrong."
Also Craig is a person by person thing, not an American thing. I have always pronounced it the same way British people do. Not that it matters anyways, it's a proper noun, so if a guy named Craig told you that it was "Creg, not Crayg" he would be right, like it or not.
I think if I got banned from a site 10 times I'd probably stop going there. Obviously you aren't a fit for the community, and whether you agree with the reasons or not is kind of irrelevant.
