I'm cheating this year, GOTY is going to be a little late so I can play more games.

I haven't seen one. I'm pretty sure I exhausted all of my Shiny Luck in previous games. I have far more than I believe I statistically should. I've gotten 10 by myself, not including ones I used the Pokeradar for.

Having trouble finding what you want on the GTS? Got an abundance of cool Pokemon that you don't know what to do with? You've come to the right place. Just write up a post specifying which Pokemon you are looking for, and what Pokemon you are willing to offer in return. Or if you have cool Pokemon you're willing to trade to other users who might appreciate them more, you're free to do that here as well.

Here's a few examples of good posts:

Seeking: Breloom/Shroomish with Technician (Preferably Female)

Offering: Froakie with Protean, or Vulpix with Drought.

___________________________________________________________

Offering: Shiny Fletchling, PM an offer.

___________________________________________________________

Seeking: Charizardite X

Offering: Charizardite Y

Here's a few general rules and tips to make sure this thread runs as smoothly as possible:

  • Try to handle the Friend Code exchange and trade logistics through PM or this could devour the thread.
  • Once your trade has been resolved edit your initial post to make this clear. (It would also be polite to thank the user when you do this, so we know how cool they are.)
  • Feel free to use this thread for trading items, as indicated by the mega stone example above. Items display before a trade now, so you can make these trades with confidence.
  • We're operating on the honor system, it's not as easy to trick someone as it has been in past games, but it's still important to use common sense when trading.
  • However, if a user does do something dishonest, send me a PM and I'll blacklist them in the OP so other users know not to trade with them.
  • Try to only post reasonable trades. I don't want to see a bunch of "Seeking: Xerneas Offering: Farfetch'd" We've got the GTS for that.
  • You can say you're seeking something without putting up what you will offer in return, however please try to think of something.
  • Offering something without knowing what you want is totally fine on the other hand.
  • Dumb nicknames are heavily encouraged.

@monkeyking1969: I'm on more or less the same side as you, though I don't think your personal anecdote holds up at all. I pirated games when I was poor, I know it was wrong, and I feel bad about it. Now that I'm not poor, I don't pirate games anymore. My brother whose on disability pirates all his games, because if he didn't, he wouldn't be able to play anything. Plenty of the people pirating games are doing it because they can't afford it. I'm not saying that justifies it, but it's true.

I think the reason a lot of Americans haven't left their state or their country is because they're really big. My state is comparable in size to many European countries, so if I want to go out of state, it's going to be a pretty pricey adventure. There's plenty of stuff to do in Arizona that I haven't gotten around to yet too. I should probably see the Grand Canyon sometime.

Yup, that's the reason. Except in the north east, our states are pretty freaking big.

I've only been to Canada, which, as someone else said, barely counts.

Yeah the northeast is pretty different. Which is why a law like "No speed limits higher than 55!" seems reasonable to some northeastern drivers, but flabbergasts people in states like mine.

The Arizona highways that go up to 75 mph are the most horrific things I've ever been on. Especially when you're driving along at night and all of a sudden snow starts blowing across the road (I ended up in Flagstaff which had a record snowfall that year. I had no idea that there were places in Arizona that got snow, but really got to see how elevation changes affect weather when the next morning after driving for 20 minutes and dropping about 4000 ft, I was in Sedona and a whole lot of desert. Though it could have been worse. We tried going to the Grand Canyon but the roads were snowed out. Right after we got to the closed roads, these two girls from California who had never seen snow up close, went driving right into this deep snow and getting their car stuck. Lucky for them, we are helpful Canadians who tried to dig them out. Shortly after, 2 more helpful Canadians happened to drive up and proceed to try digging the girls' car out. Good times)

80% of the roads in Arizona are made up of hours of nothing with a small town to refill your gas at every once in a while. Anything less than 75 just doesn't make sense under those circumstances. Though if you're driving at night in the snow, I can see how it might seem ridiculous. You were just in the wrong 20% of the state at the wrong time.

@jeust: I'm not saying every game pirated is a lost sale, but they're enjoying the hard work of these people and offering nothing in return. That's a really shitty thing to do, especially to people like Indie devs who have to struggle just to make these games a reality.

If your some rich suburb kid who could afford it, yeah thats shitty. If your a poor college student , or just poor in general( US or foreign) I cant look down on you,it sucks. There not gonna buy theses games anyway and I think alot of indie(not all) are atleast happy there game is getting more word of mouth.

As a poor college student I understand that sentiment. I still wouldn't pirate an indie game though. If there's any game a college student could afford it would be one of those. They should go pirate a game from a big budget company who wouldn't miss their money.

@jollus: You could try renting a copy of black or white from Gamefly or somewhere. They don't make it easy to delete pokemon saves so generally rented copies have a file on there. It's not unlikely that they will be post Elite Four, which is when you can transfer pokemon from Diamond.

Yes, I've been to Mexico because it's only about an hour away. I haven't really done anything there though. I'll take a proper trip down there some day. My bucket list requires me to visit Japan and at least 2 European countries in my lifetime as well.

@max_cherry: I'm sorry but if you're not willing to actually discuss this, and you're just using this as a platform to get more signatures on the petition then I think this qualifies as spam. Flagged.

What the fuck are you guys talking about? The principal is not an innocent party in this. He is the one who made the decision to make the streaking incident into a criminal matter and accepted an interview on broadcast TV with out considering the consequences of his actions. He needs to be held accountable, lest you want America to continue to drift in this disturbing direction. Yes, America has many problems with its justice system, INCLUDING a supposed community leader using it to hang his 15 year old student out to dry. I know it's just a drop in the bucket. But we got to start somewhere. So could you please just sign the petition?

Streaking being a crime is actually what makes it a criminal matter, not the principal. It's his job to discourage this kind of behavior and so he did. How was he supposed to know this would lead to the boys death? Do you realize he's going to be living with this guilt for the rest of his life for the role he played in all of this? What good would come of his forced resignation?
