I'm cheating this year, GOTY is going to be a little late so I can play more games.

The only thing that could've got me to buy this system is if the buttons were farther from the edge, but it appears they are not. This is a big problem for me. I'm a grown man with long fingers, and it's so uncomfortable to contort my thumb in such a way that it's in the proper position that after like 45 minutes or so my finger will actually be in pain. Monsters. Trying to hurt me.

Hmm. Well my Civilization 5 boxed copy was the steam version, so that? Im not sure I've ever actually downloaded a game from steam. It's all codes from humble bundles and PC games I bought that ended up just being the steam version anyways. I am not a pc gamer by any stretch of the imagination though.

At the very least I wish Jeff or someone would speak about this in a more noticeable way (if they haven't already, the only info I've seen about it is a link to a formspring question). Even if it's not to give any good news I feel like enough of these threads have popped up that it deserves addressing. Even if they just say "Hey guys, we're not in control of the ads anymore, I know some of them suck, but there's nothing we can do about it. If it really bothers you we've got subscriptions so you don't have to deal with them." That's all I really ask. At least for them to acknowledge that they know instead of keeping quiet about the whole thing.

Guys! I think we need to invent a new word. Furaphobic. It is done.

Anthropomorphobic Furry is probably a derogatory term or something.

You sir, have bested me at English today. However I will have my revenge.

Hmm I'm not sure either. I know the answer is that it should be short enough so people don't skip it. Though that can be very frustrating when you have more points to make about the game. In my Final Fantasy 5 Retrospective I intended to write a section about the characters and some of the cooler levels like I did for Fire Emblem 6, but when I looked back at that blog I decided it was too long, and that a lot of people probably dismissed it because of so much text (and maybe lack of interest, I can't imagine everybody on this site cares as much about Fire Emblem as Final Fantasy). So I ended up leaving that part out of my FF5 blog and people seemed to enjoy that one. My advice to you would be to focus on one thing, and if you have more thoughts about something than try and distill them down into a point as well, and try to get 2 shorter blogs out of it instead of one big one.

Well I'm a dick! I do this all of the time. Sorry everybody, I'm pretty sure there have been people in this very thread I did that too.

I like to imagine they tried to do it and failed, but thought they succeeded because it was down for maintenance, because than they look stupid.

It seems to me that EA is sending mixed signal with this game. On one hand they are claiming to have this quality story that goes into the psychology of soldiers. On the other they do this, basically saying "Our game has the realist gun experience, hell yeah".

I don't understand how those are mutually exclusive things. Real guns can be in a good story.

What the hell guys. This may be the first time my mind didn't immediately turn something into a dirty version of itself, but furrys did not cross my mind once when I saw this game. They just look like Disney characters to me. I hope no one dismisses this game simply because their first thought when they see it is "Fetish Porn." Personally I think the art style is gorgeous and I'm certainly no fan of furry's.
