Hell no. Playing non-VR content on it is fine but also super inconvenient and low-res. And I say that as someone who likes PSVR and wishes I had more reasons to play it.
This always happens whenever there’s a Premium sale going on. Considering that another site redesign is apparently coming, I doubt it’ll get fixed before then.

All that does is normalize the idea that you can not like women, people of color and other marginalized groups without being seen as a “bad person” like we identify alt-righters as, when the truth is much more simple - if you don’t like women, people of color, queer people, immigrants and refugees or any other marginalized group, you are a scumbag that has no place in modern society.

Is anyone else hate-reading Evilore’s statement thread? Oh my god, there are so many sycophants going on about how happy they are that the site is back and that Off-Topic is dead. (Since that was the problem, of course. It wasn’t the owner’s long history of sexual assault and letting mods do whatever the fuck they want, it’s the fact that the site got too leftist.)
It’s a fucking video game forum. There’s a million different ones throughout the damn internet, most of which don’t line the pockets of a fucking deviant. The lengths that some people will go to ignore a history of abuse because they just want to talk about Mario Odyssey is absolutely sickening.
This is probably (okay definitely) the wrong reaction to have, but my first response to reading this statement was “holy shit, Malka needs to get his fucking ass kicked.” The gall of this motherfucker.
@farnham: For all the problems NeoGAF had (and I could go on about them but part of me feels like people will just think I’m still bitter about being permabanned a million years ago) its politics was definitely not one of them. The site was always incredibly inclusive and took a lot of care into protecting marginalized members from legitimate microaggressions and prejudice disguised as “difference of opinion.” Say what you will about them being very ban-heavy in that regard and maybe taking things too far, I would much rather a moderation team that has zero tolerance for that type of behavior and occasionally steps over the line than a moderation team that focuses on “respecting people’s opinions” and allows that kind of white privilege nonsense to go absolutely unchecked (something that, admittedly, I think the GB forums and the staff itself have not been great about throughout the years). If anything, the problem with GAF is that its principals didn’t actually live up to the ideas they espoused, which gives all the assholes who love to scream about how “SJWs only performativly care about marginalized groups to take attention away from the skeletons in their own closet” even more ammunition.
I was already gone and done with GAF by the time the first allegations about Evilore dropped so I completely missed them, but that behavior of allowing his friends to do whatever troll shit they wanted and stifling criticism has been Evilore’s MO for years. Let’s not forget that time he shut down the Rock Band OT and banned a bunch of its prominent members, deleted all criticism of his actions and stripped Red Scarlet of her mod powers for privately telling him that he was in the wrong.
If I’m being honest, the thing that upsets me most of all about this thread is discovering that Nick Robinson is also an absolute creep and that somehow I missed his downfall. Jesus Christ, Babylonian.
