Completing Our Games #23 - Years 1-4

Hey All!

Time for another update!

On top of my last STEAM update I've got a few more titles to add to the pile that I grabbed before the sale ended on July 4th.

  1. Freedom Force and Freedom Force VS The 3rd Reich ($1.79)
  2. Star Wars: Empire At War Gold Edition ($5.00)
  3. Torchlight ($5.00)

Pretty crazy deals and I'm glad I was able to snag some quality software!

As far as my PC Gaming stats this week they haven't been the longest but I've put in some hardcore time into the following games....

  • Titan Quest (70 Minutes)
  • Torchlight (121 Minutes)
  • Dawn of War 2 (100 Minutes)
  • Dawn of War Gold Edition (97 Minutes)

Current Progress in Dawn of War 2 - 5/73 Achievements - 55/2000 GamerScore
Current Progress in Torchlight - 6/67 Achievements (Steam)

Not too bad considering the time I've been putting into some of my 360 games this week.

On the 360 side of things Jamie and I picked up LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 this week. I grabbed the 90 dollar Collector's Edition. It comes with the 4 Houses of Hogwarts Magnets (RavenClaw, Hufflepuff, Gryfindor, Slytherin), a Behind the Scenes of the Movies, a Behind the Scenes of the Games, and a BroomStick for your XBOX Avatar which I believe Jamie will use later this week.

That was all for our purchases this week. I'm starting to save money for some vacations I'll be taking in the next little while and for University starting in September. But I'm sure I'll find some extra cash flow to burn on some games on a later date.

As for playing our 360 games...Main focuses this week have been of course, LEGO Harry Potter, and Alan Wake.

On the Alan Wake side of things we managed to finish up the storyline, and what a great ending it was! I'm adding Alan Wake to one of my top 10 games for the 360 for it's eerie atmosphere and excellent story and sound.

We managed to crank out a lot of Gamerscore on our first playthrough and I've only got a couple of achievements left to snag before we 1000/1000 it.

Current Progress in Alan Wake - 39/50 Achievements - 630/1000 GamerScore

*The Limited Collector's Edition I own came with a free DLC for the first expansion episode that is supposed to be released later this July...Can't wait!

And in LEGO Harry Potter, Jamie has been the star of the show. I didn't manage to get close to the damn things for 6 hours last night as she cranked her way through the First Year and 2 levels into the Second Year. I played for about 20 minutes this evening and finished off the first level. One of the best LEGO games thus far. Considering we own all of them, that says a lot...Highly recommended! (BUY IT! Screams Jamie in the background).

Current Progress in LEGO Harry Potter 1-4 - Rattle280 - 4/36 Achievements - 95/1000 GamerScore

That's all for the gaming department as of right now. I did some re-organizing in my gaming room and installed a shelf over my computer desk to put some of my goodies. You can see below that the boxes are starting to pile up!  (Sorry it's so blurry, I don't have much light in the room and my iPhone is pretty crappy in the dim light)

I wish I had that much stuff, all I have Collectors Editions wise is Alan Wake CE, Dragon Age: Origins and Forza 3 LE.

I think I am going to go for the Platinum in Dragon Age but I'll leave that to another update.

Keep on keepin' on Dude! another great update.
