All very good points. I think it's true that they don't define games, but I think the companies who make SDK's for their consoles will definitely have built-in engines by the next next gen. This means that a moderately good physics engine would be built into their platforms already. The same thing happened with things like custom soundtracks, gamer profiles, etc.

Bright future ahead of us =D

For forum posting, could you guys add a fourth button on the right of these editing tools that allows for the user to search for a game, click it, and have a hyperlink that directs you to the main game's page?

In fact, I think it'd be even better if mousing over that link would display the boxart for that game.

This would keep me in the loop during lots of discussions on these forums, especially when games' names are dropped.

Edit: forgot to mention that the Add Picture and Add Link buttons won't be replaced, this would just be a new addition.

I believe the game is so successful because it has the best community; makes you feel like WoW is a true 'world'.

And I mean community by numbers, not by manners.

I say yes. No action shooters are good without a complete physics system these days, and I think we're perhaps a year or two away from everyone abandoning simple interactions and adopting full physics engines. Only genre I can't really see changing is classic-style puzzlers, but 2D games as a whole I'm sure will be making the switch pretty soon.

As for me, I can't wait to play an RPG where I miss a Fireball and it blows up a tree.

Psi-Ops was awesome, no other game really did telekinesis as good as Psi-Ops did even after all these years. A sequel would be amazing in a next gen system.

I definitely agree with the City of Villains remark. I feel like if that game was polished up and refined in a sequel, it would become an awesome MMO.

Come to think of it, I'd like to have a Morrowind sequel (and not an Oblivion sequel).
