Full disclosure: I created this Giant Bomb themed Windjammers clone myself. I usually hate everything I touch or do, but I'm somewhat proud of how this thing turned out.

List items

  • A very faithful unofficial remake of Flying Power Disc (aka Windjammers) with an anime art style.

  • You do throw and catch flying discs in this game, but the overall feel is so different I almost hesitated to put it on the list. However, it's inspiration is too obvious to be ignored.

  • A somewhat faithful 3D update of Windjammers. Very similar mechanics and power moves, but with a completely different scoring system.

  • Shamelessly self titled "Windjammers tribute", going so far as to offer a direct screenshot comparison? Very strange considering that the game's art style and mechanics look completely different.

  • A 3D Windjammers clone for the Nintendo 3DS? Yep. You read that correctly. Made by at least one former employee of defunct studio Argonaut Games; developer of Star Fox and... Catwoman: The Game?

  • A super rough Xbox360 indie game. It's "art style" is terribly charming, um, I mean, charmingly terrible!

  • A 3D Windjammers with a vertically orientated court layout and a behind the back perspective.
