Let me make this clear, I've only played the demo and from what I played it seemed like a decent game. Nothing amazing but enough to entertain you which, at the end of the day, isn't that what a game is for? What I don't enjoy, however, is the amount of talk Dyack was bringing about from his Gaff and podcast showings. The entire time I could only shake my head and plead silently for him to just make the game. No doubt, he was, but I just think if he didn't bring so much of that ill attention to it there wouldn't be as much apprehension to this game that many are showing to decent review scores. This can only end two ways: Too Human sells alot based on the media attention its gotten these past few months or it fails miserably due to the exact same thing. Me personally, I'll pick it up eventually. Unfortunately, it seems to be just a rent for me.

Well, after ponying up 12.50 to buy a game that costs significantly less (what an annoyance those "space bucks" are) I finally immersed myself in the world of the Bionic Commando and I must say, this game is HARD. Not hard in the sense of difficult bad guys and bosses but in the sense of carefully timed jumps and futile shots of mechanical clamps into the air as my character pathetically falls to his doom into a river or a inconveniently placed carpet of spikes. Yet I find myself jamming that A button once again as I'm brought to the world map. Haven't tried co-op yet, but if the single player is any indication, it should be 2x the fun.

I never actually played the original Bionic Commando or saw it in action until talk of this rearmed version started up. I dl'ed the demo and found it to be surprisingly entertaining. Is it a bad thing I enjoyed the VR style levels more than the main game? Maybe it's just the reawakening of my puzzle cravings from Braid starting up. Either way, it looks like I'll be buying this game eventually. Funny how it seems I'm hesitating more on buying this game than I did with Braid though.

I felt kinda sad about the first half of the final level, but when rewinding my jaw dropped when I realized what was actually happening. I kinda interpreted it as a simple love story at first and so just related it to that huge crush we've all had but after reading the other in depth interpretations I'm now really glad I spent the 1200 points.
