999: A fun little puzzle game.

I just got done playing the demo of 999 which you can find here. I enjoyed solving the little puzzle the demo presents and I"m interested in seeing more of the game now. You should definitely check out the demo and say what you think about it.  The puzzle in the demo seemed somewhat simple, but  they could probably get a lot more complex in the final game. I might just have to check this game out.

The only anime I'm interested in that's airing this fall

My Little Sister Can't be this Cute!

Description:

Kyōsuke Kōsaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high school student, has not gotten along with his younger sister Kirino in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyōsuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever. One day however, Kyōsuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Hoshikuzu Witch Meruru ( 星くず☆うぃっちメルル , Stardust Witch Meruru) which had fallen in his house's entrance way. To Kyōsuke's surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imōto to Koishiyo! ( 妹と恋しよっ♪ , Let's Fall in Love with Little Sister!). Kyōsuke attempts to fish out the culprit who dropped the case by bringing up the topic of magical girl anime at the family dinner table. All that comes out is a strong negative reaction from his parents, especially his anti- otaku policeman father.

That night, Kirino bursts into Kyōsuke's room and, in perhaps the first conversation she has initiated with him in years, says they "have things to talk about." Kirino brings Kyōsuke to her room and shows him an extensive collection of moe anime and lolicon bishōjo games she has been collecting in secret.

It sounds pretty interesting to me at least and I hope it's good. Maybe I'll find something else good to watch this fall too.

How I started watching K-On! thanks to Giant Bomb and Persona 4.

It's really weird, but when I think about it, I started watching K-On! because of Giant Bomb and it's Persona 4 Endurance Run. It all started when I started watching the Endurance Run and started liking Persona 4 enough to buy it and ended it playing through the game all the way to the true ending. I really liked Persona 4 and one day came across this video:

I thought the music was pretty good and wanted to learn what it was a parody of, which eventually lead me to watching the first season of K-On and most recently the second season. Thank you Giant Bomb for getting me to watch K-On even if it wasn't directly.

My favorite anime openings and endings, week two.

This week I've decided to pick show off the openings and endings of Haruhi.

Opening 1 -  Bouken Desho Desho? ("It's An Adventure, Right? Right?")

It's been a long time since I've seen this opening, but it has a really good beat to it.

Opening 2 -  Super Driver

Like the first opening this also has a great beat and I really like the style of the video too.

Ending 1 - Hare Hare Yukai.

This is the best version of this ending I could find. This ending is definitely great for the ever popular dance that's in it.

Ending 2 - Stop!

I like the song in this one and the animation in it's great too.

Let me know what you think of these openings and endings in the comments. This concluedes this week. I hope you enjoyed them all.

Had two interesting dreams last night.

In one of them I was in the back of a truck while it was speeding down a highway and it crashed. Luckily all that happened to me was I got knocked out and had several cuts and bruises.

In another I was in a library or maybe it was a book store looking at a big bookshelf of manga. Apparently I was there with a girl and her mom because I went home with them after that. At the bookshelf I picked up a volume of something and said something like, "check out this High School of the Dead." Then she suggested I look at Welcome to the N.H.K. instead. I then left the store with her and her mother with two volumes of something. It was snowing outside and continued snowing until we got to her house. I don't remember anything else after that.

Just felt like sharing.

My favorite anime openings and endings, week one.

I decided that I'll post some of my favorite anime openings and endings every week starting now. Why am I doing this? Because I"m bored and why not share these awesome openings and endings? I'm gonna start this off with the opening and ending to Angel Beats.

Opening: My Soul, Your Beats.

Although it may not have the best video, I really enjoy the Piano in the music.

Ending: Brave Song.

This doesn't have much to offer on the video side of things, but it's a nice calm and relaxing song nonetheless.

I hope you enjoyed this inagural edition of my favorite openings and endings from anime. Come back next week for my next choice.

Persona 3 and 4 Music Awesomeness.

Apparently some new remixed versions of Persona 3 and 4 songs came out, so I thought I'd share the awesomeness with you. They are looped apparently, but they are still very awesome.

Lyrics for this newer version of Reach out to the Truth.

A newer version of the song Heaven.

There were also some newer versions of some Persona 3 songs.

I really really like the new version of Reach out to the Truth and the new Battle Hymn sounds pretty epic too. What does Giant Bomb think of these updated versions of these songs?

Finished Clannad and After Story, here are some of my thoughts.

  • Kotomi is my favorite character from the first season.
  • I'm somewhat disappointed didn't see more of the other characters from the first season in After Story, but also understand that it needs to focus more on Nagisa and Tomoya.
  • After Story is much more serious and emotional than the first season, which is a good thing.
  • The comedy that is mostly in the first season is really funny.
  • I really enjoyed that most of the characters eventually got their past revealed.
  • I cried somewhat on some of the episode. Very much so on episode 18 of After Story.
  • After Story is sad and depressing.
  • The Dango  Daikazoku  song is both sad and happy:

That's all for now. I may post some more thoughts though if they pop up in my head.
