How I started watching K-On! thanks to Giant Bomb and Persona 4.

It's really weird, but when I think about it, I started watching K-On! because of Giant Bomb and it's Persona 4 Endurance Run. It all started when I started watching the Endurance Run and started liking Persona 4 enough to buy it and ended it playing through the game all the way to the true ending. I really liked Persona 4 and one day came across this video:

    I thought the music was pretty good and wanted to learn what it was a parody of, which eventually lead me to watching the first season of K-On and most recently the second season. Thank you Giant Bomb for getting me to watch K-On even if it wasn't directly.

@Aus_azn: Weirdly enough I seem to watch a lot of KyoAni's shows also. I've seen both seasons of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, K-On, Kanon, and Clannad, They seem to do good work from all that I've seen from them.

Wow, that video was great hahah.

My anime-watching progression has been fairly limited, but in summary, I watch most programs made by KyoAni.

I first watched Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, then Lucky Star, then SHnY S2 (which was crap because of one episode being rerun 8 times), then K-On! and K-On!!
They're all enjoyable; SHnY has a much deeper and darker plot (hell, it's modeled after an entire book series), whereas K-On! and Lucky Star are far more comedic.

I wanted to see the hot tea action, and I was not disappointed.

@ImmortalSaiyan:
Well, they both are popular among otaku for reasons I can't understand (or are too creepy to contemplate), so in that sense yes. If you like shows where a bunch of animated little girls spend 24 minutes shooting the shit with each other then you will probably like K-On!

@ImmortalSaiyan:
They seem very similar so I'm gonna say yes, but I've never seen Lucky Star.
