Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] - PS4 NA 2020 0

Under Night In-Birth’s gradual progress throughout the 2010 decade has been a marvel to witness and one of the more underrated success stories for developer Soft Circle French Bread. Each iteration of the game gradually improved the game’s quality and grew a strong audience which built up to UNIST’s entry as a main card game at 2019’s Evolution Championship Series. Taking advantage of UNIST’s peak popularity, French Bread sought to strike while the iron’s hot ...

Wild Guns Reloaded - PS4 0

Wild Guns Reloaded joins in a number of games from the older video game generations to get the remaster treatment. Unlike many other remastered releases where the game receives mostly visual and some minor under the hood improvements, Wild Gun Reloaded goes beyond by adding in new characters, new stages, and a re-done soundtrack. On one hand, it’s great that the developers went above and beyond the usual remaster treatment to develop and pack in additional content on top of a very short ga...

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] - 2018 PS4 NA Region 0

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late skyrocketed as one of my favorite recent fighting games with its excellent concoction of classic 2D pace, anime fighting game-esque mechanics, and a varied cast with identifiable fighting styles. UNIEL shined in spite of my poor play, missing some key typical fighting game modes such as a tutorial and character combo missions, and boring game package presentation. I played the hell out of the imported digital version of UNIEL and rode its initial surging popularity ...

The Last Blade 2 - 2016 PS4 Version 0

The Last Blade 2 isn’t a game that is fondly remembered amongst the memorable library of SNK’s fighting games, but it does have a strong cult following due to what it provides in and around its core fighting gameplay. It’s one of the few fighting games that excels well in multiple aspects: excellent all-around production and presentation, strong emotional undercurrent of uncertainty and despair, and memorable characters and storylines. While I still enjoy a number of fighting ...

Etrian Odyssey IV Review 0

I started the Spark Guild on May 4. I created a party consisting a Landsknecht, Fortress, Medic, Runemaster, and Dancer. My adventure started at the Old Forest Mine, where the guild’s first order of business was to mine Iridescent Ore. A fellow explorer named Whirlwind provided me with a rough map of the cave and the location of where I can mine the ore. I carefully mapped out the cave, battled monsters, avoided the Nomad Baboons, mined the ore, and returned back to Tharsis to report a successfu...

Atelier Rorona 0

Atelier Rorona is the first of the Arland Alchemist trilogy series in Gust's long running Atelier series. In this game, you take the role of Rorona, who's taken up the task to save the alchemist workshop in Arland from being shut down by completing assignments issued by the Arland Kingdom. This is not your typical JRPG where you go along with a group of other folks to save the world. In Atelier Rorona, your main focus is the submit items to the kingdom to keep the workshop open. Yes, it's essent...
