My friend J.R. and I would play against each other all night. We even uncovered a glitch in battle mode where—if you shoot it right—a red shell will make endless circles around your opponent (as long as he stays still). We would try to see how many red shells we could get to orbit at a time.

I played this whole game through at least three times. I also went into Zelda chat rooms on AOL for hours at a time at night.

I loved the single-player campaign in this game so much that I thought I had finally found a game I would never get tired of. Then Age of Empires III had to come out and ruin it: the campaign mode sucks and I suck at the multiplayer mode.

I loved this game so much that I thought if I bought a gaming computer to play it at home I would be happy for the rest of my life. Turns out it's only fun when you play on LAN.

I bought this game the day it came out so that helped to make it addicting. Plus I liked talking to people with the Wii Speak accessory. I still play the game, but I never visit anyone else's town anymore and I never use Wii Speak.
