When I read the title, I couldn't help but think "Rayman: Origins." Man, I really, REALLY want a "Jak and Daxter: Origins" :(

The only fun in Red Faction is the destruction... is Michael Bay directing it?

This is a cross between Dragon Age: Origins and Red Faction:Guerilla.  You get to destroy Castles and stuff with your giant hammer.

I am pre-sold on anything Red Faction, so I'll end up watching even when it ends up sucking. syfy lulz.

Red Faction: Armageddon will be released in March 2011, to celebrate this (or to make more hype) THQ has partnered up with the American television network SyFy to make a live action movie pilot that will take place in the Red Faction fiction.

The setting of the movie will take place 25 year after Red Faction: Guerrilla but before Red Faction: Armageddon. The story will follow Jake (Alec Mason’s son), who needs to defend the Red Faction against a new threat whose soul purpose is to destroy it. Jake’s sister has also been kidnapped and his mother has been murdered, it’s up to Jake to find the culprits, seek revenge and to uncover family secrets.

The live action movie is labeled as a “two-hour pilot” meaning that it could be turned into a TV-series if the rating of the “movie” is high enough. Screenplay has been written by Andrew Kreisberg and is based on a story written by Paul DeMeo.
