While it wasn't a successful night for Team Chevy (couldn't make the draft work during the race) it was a successful night for FUN.

Also yeah, we need to think about doing some more, regular races in these cars. I've been making a push for them for a little while now and I don't think they're that difficult to manage. They're a bit harder to manage than the Late Models for sure, but I think we're driving cars on the Road side of things that are more complicated than the Gen6. Also we could always go to the Nationwide cars which are a bit easier...

@iron1c: That means I need to buy another car? If I was, hypothetically speaking, going to buy a Gen6 car are there any functional differences between the Chevy and the Ford?

One is super cool. The other is not.

And don't trust @slowbird

In this case, Slowbird can be trusted.

You can either buy the Chevy, which is the right car, or buy the Ford, which is the wrong car (for various reasons).

So it's easy to decide, really.

As a German I hate to spoil the party, but:

"Tech-Nick" is just an advertising character, used in bad, unfunny commercials for an electronics chain. He's no "manager" or anything. Hell, even the name is just a bad play of words on the German word for electronics, which is "Technik". See what they did there? And the supposedly funny thing about him is that he doesn't talk, but he does Tweet. OH GOD IT'S SO BAD. See for yourself:

As a side note, I really, really love GTA V and I'm one of the weird people that enjoyed GTA Online. So I hope this is true.

@iron1c: I need some hyper-speed left-turning.

The next Indy Series will still run the old car, so you get at least 3 months of driving that thing, but I get what you mean.

I'd like to race the Gen6 at Daytona, so hopefully that happens for this Friday!

Same here! Gen6 at Daytona for this week! Also get some Trucks in there at a bump-draft track as well (Daytona again? Seems like not many people would own Talladega) and some crazy, dumb stuff.

@khann: I actually drove around USA in the Williams earlier, and it's pretty fun; you only have to lift a good bit and it sticks nicely (even with the baseline setup). Try it out! Dover would be fun I'm sure, and Charlotte would make for pure terror. I mainly just want to do an IndyCar style race, but I know most people don't have that car (/don't want it with the DW12 coming), and several do have the Williams. Either that or we can do a Star Mazda oval race... survey time?

I JUST WANT OPEN WHEEL TURN LEFT RACE FAST.

The DW12 isn't coming that soon, they signed the deal but haven't started any work on it (they will probably only start now, now that their GT3 work is done) and the IndyCar is great on ovals! Also there are there fixed setups for almost all of the important ovals. Sometimes I just wish iRacing had a profile thing where you could just see the content people own on their "card" or something. But either way, yes, fast oval racing is good! Also, uh, TRUCKS! Those things are amazing!

Also wasn't there some talk about changing this weeks FNT cars?

@angry_pants: You got everything just right. That's exactly what happened. The Safety Car is there for safety though (as the name already implies :D ) and not to make anything more fair or interesting (this isn't NASCAR after all). Sometimes you just get screwed over.
