People like to shit all over this game because it had a crappy start, which did suck. But since then, it has redeemed itself and then some. I think the racing is great, the sense of speed is probably the best ive seen, the graphics are top tier and performance is spot on. Lots of free content updates, and meaningful paid DLC has added a lot to it as well. Its no GT, But I enjoyed it more than I have the Forza annual retreads.
Ive not yet seen any early impressions or previews that have said this game is bad. Infact they have been mostly glowing with a few small exceptions. As a huge Demon Souls / DS1+2 fan, I am really looking forward to this to tide me over until Bloodborne.
The only thing that seems interesting about Destiny are the boss fights, but considering that the game is 6 hours long (according to IGN) there can't be very many of those. .
"Adding up the figures from our accumulated in-house footage, we know that a number of other necessary activities required us to expend closer to eighteen hours finishing the campaign on our first attempt."
You don't come across many bosses while grinding, do you?
Unless something major happens later on in the game, unless there is a Dark Souls style "Ah Ha! I need to read the item descriptions!" moment I'm guessing plot is one area reviewers are going to come down hard on. With all these years of development, all of the creative minds gathered to create this game it had to be deliberate right? This is how they decided they wanted this game to be?
