I used to be able to do it fairly easily years ago. I'd look down at my feet, then try wiggle the toes. That sensation seemed to trigger it for me. Good times - lucid dreaming is amazing.
Not sure why I pretty much can't do it these days - too many 'toxins' methinks...
Look into ethereal (and astral if you're really brave) travel if you haven't already. I managed to get out of my body twice - very trippy. You have to abstain from drugs / alcohol for quite a time while you learn it though. Took me a bit over a month. Was definitely worth it!
