@Driadon: You know, that's what I've always thought too, but then I guess the exact wording in the game is: "Psychiatric Care: Instead of having an encounter here, you may recover Sanity by receiving psychiatric care. You may either regain 1 Sanity for free, or pay $2 to restore your Sanity to its maximum value." Sounds like you don't get any encounter at all if you're gaining anything back...
@angelfan91: 3 ways... 1, By sealing 6 gates (we're at 2) 2, By closing every gate on the board, while at the same time the investigators carry 8 gate trophies in total (Currently we have 2 trophies) 3, If the Ancient One wakes up, normally we get a last chance to try and fight it, mano-a-monstruo, but the Ancient One that we have for this game automatically kills everyone when he wakes up, so option 3 is out of the question.
I was just going to post a pencil sketch, but then it turns out my roommate's scanner doesn't work... So I had to take crappy cellphone photos, then worked the lines off of that... If anyone else wants to colour it, go right ahead. Bigger version is under Images in my profile.
@angelfan91: The (-1) means you modify your stat with that number, so your will -1 will be right at 0... which means you'd fail the roll automatically. You still have 1 clue token you can spend to get a free die to roll if you want to. If you choose to spend that, then yeah, you'll have to make a 6 to succeed.
@Resident4t: We'll send you to the Hospital, but you can only keep half your clues and half your items, rounded up... you have: Rifle, Tommy Gun, Alien Statue, Ruby of R'lyeh, Wither, Red Sign of Shudde M'ell, so lemme know which three you want to keep, and which three you'd like to discard.
