Mortal Kombat X moves forward with a snappier version of the previous game's fighting and some cool new characters, but the story and other features around the edges feel a bit rough in spots.
The ways that Axiom Verge resembles Metroid help set up and drive home the ways that Axiom Verge is most definitely not Metroid.

That was an awesome intro to the game.
I found it funny how Dan called kids idiots, because Dan is just a very large kid. Which explains why he is an idiot, and like a kid, it is mostly endearing.
This reminded me of a game on 360 where the colors red and blue were an important mechanic. Can't remember the name but it was great. Man, I miss the days of quality Xbox arcade games :(
Damn, what was the name? More importantly, was it ever released on PC?
I don't get the 'they don't give me a reason to play it this way' complaint. Surely that choice, to do it steathily, or balls out rests with the player at some point. It seems like complaining over them giving you agency over your experience.
Yeah I've never understood that complaint either, Jeff has always been good at doing that too. Maybe you get that feeling after playing so many damn video games, I dunno.

I hope they do it so that I don't have to.
If this had been a sports game, and Dan or the Sports Club had done the same thing, I'd bet most of you guys would have loved it.
