@chimpchamp: Hi. I've literally never even met the guy who made Jazzpunk. I think I might have spoken to him on twitter once, but we've never met in person, so I don't think he really qualifies as my friend.

Give it up Navarro, we followed the money! We know what's going on here! There's a thick trail of ooze behind you everywhere you go! You and your reptilian friends have been selling 5 star reviews on the black market for years!

So sorry Jeff :( Love you man

It'll happen over time. When they first hired Drew he wasn't on camera all that much. Thinking back, it really did take a few years before Drew's personality really came through on camera/the podcast. I expect the same thing to happen to Jason. Once a new fighting game comes out, I'm positive he'll tag along on the quick look with Jeff and Brad. That dude knows his shit.

I've never heard of Ether One, what's that about?

1. Hearthstone

2. South Park

3. Broken Age

4. Mario Kart 8

5. Titanfall

I think I've cracked some sort of code. Kojima and Yorke are the same person.

Metal Gear = Pablo Honey

Metal Gear 2 = The Bends

Metal Gear Solid = OK Computer

Metal Gear Solid 2 = Kid A

Metal Gear Solid 3 = Amnesiac

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops = Hail to the Thief

Metal Gear Solid 4 = In Rainbows

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker = The Eraser

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes = The King of Limbs

Also, check this out:

Hideo Kojima = 11 letters

Thomas Yorke = 11 letters

Coincidence? I think not!

Have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time? Nope. Thom Yorke is the new Joakim Mogren.

@genfuyung: If I may speculate wildly, I've always assumed Drew for the churchgoing type who isn't like crazy fundamentalist about it or pushy, but took it to heart enough that he's very polite, and doesn't curse or generally make crude jokes, and tries to generally be a positive, conscientious person.

Or maybe he's not particularly religious, but his parents were and the overall attitude kinda carried over?

Or religion has nothing to do with it and he's just super polite and considerate. Still, it lines up with the sort of attitudes I associate with like, my grandpa who was a nice religious dude from a small rural town. Except Drew is from this generation, so he is also more open to people of all walks of life, whereas my grandpa was very mildly racist I later learned (not like "use the n-word" racist, but he was from a small town of white people, and apparently occasionally used some terms that by the 90s were no longer PC and were borderline offensive).

Sorry if I'm way off base, Drew!

...now that you mention it, Drew is always talking about "the Jew problem." I never thought much of it until now.

I just wanted to point that out. The amount of really high quality content that we've gotten in the last month is insane. I'd like to take a moment to reflect.

We kicked off the month with the Pre-Eedom Stream and the Freedom Stream.

There were two new episodes of 1001 Spikes, 1001 Deaths, 1001 Patricks. Part 2 and Part 3.

We got to watch Vinny play Bot Colony and Velvet Sundown.

A fresh ass Jar Time.

Danny taught us how to play FIFA.

Brad had a Hat Bonanza.

Alex and Vinny celebrated ESPN NFL 2K5 turning 10 years old.

Two new mailbags! TI4 and Snacks.

Encyclopedia Bombasticas for Twisted Metal 2 and Mega Man 2.

There was a Mario Kart 8 Friday party in NY and 3 Unprofessional Fridays in SF.

Dan played World of Warcraft for the first time.

Dan tortured Jeff live on the internet.

And a time traveling 14 year old Scoops played some DDR for us.

Then on top of all that there were 8 editions of Unfinished (The Forest, Action Henk, Bot Colony, Cannon Brawl, Black the Fall, Destiny, The Crew, and Crypt of the Necrodancer) along with 32(!) Quick Looks (Sniper Elite III, Light, Contraption Maker, Long Night, One Piece: Unlimited World RED, Astebreed, Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, Divinity Original Sin, MouseCraft, Xenonauts, Tour de France 2014, Shadowgate, The Fall, Shantae: Risky's Revenge, Abyss Odyssey, Retrobooster, Arcade Archives for PS4, Super Comboman, The Nightmare Cooperative, Hidden in Plain Sight, Ghostship Aftermath, OlliOlli, Gods Will Be Watching, Pillars of Eternity, Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas, Oddworld New 'n' Tasty, Don Bradman Cricket 14, TMNT Training Lair, Blue Estate, Firefall, Velvet Sundown, The Last of Us Remastered, Halfway, and Pure Pool.)

That's not to mention the Bombcast, Alt-F1, the Powerbombcast, the Interview Dumptruck, and Bombin' the A.M. Worth Playing is awesome as always, as is Worth Reading. There was also some great written work by Patrick (here, here, here, here, here, and here) and Alex (here and here). As well as this incredibly written letter from Jeff.

That is just insane. I want to give a big thank you to Jeff, Brad, Vinny, Alex, Patrick, Matt, Drew, Jason, Dan, Danny, and all of the other special guests that made this remarkably high quality content happen. Kudos guys, keep it coming!

I don't think I want to know...

I bought a copy of WoW in like 2005, played it for ~30 minutes and then never touched it again. Seeing Dan play it made me realize that if I don't jump in now I might miss out on experiencing this huge cultural touchstone that might not exist in 5 to 10 years. I have some free time right now, so I installed it. I'll see you all on the other side.
