I've had some graphical hitches on my 2.5 year old MBP, running OX 10.6. I was able to play the beta at 1440 x 900, with most options set to medium, and things ran pretty smooth. Now the same settings are causing noticeable framerate and slowdown issues, to the point where I had to scale down the resolution and drop a lot of the settings to low. Isn't a finished product supposed to run better then the beta, not worse. Le sigh...
It was pretty good. It was a strip mall in the suburbs with a Best Buy, Futureshop and EB Games all beside each other. I got there around 11:15, and there must have been at least 300 people there already. I didn't have a preorder for the CE, but luckily the Best Buy employees were giving out tokens for the CE, and I got #79 out of #100. Oh, and I was wearing this t-shirt, to which some obese Best Buy employee poked fun at me for. It was kind of a boring wait, but I brought a friend of mine with me, and we just hung out and chatted until I finally got in the store around 12:45. To be honest, I was acting really weird, and manic, although I think she understood. She wasn't a huge gamer, but knew enough to know that this was a big deal. Anyway, it was definitely fun to go out for, and I even recognized some the same faces from the MW2 midnight opening.
