I played over the weekend, I was fairly impressed (mostly because I didn't expect it to work at all). I think the business model is the biggest problem: this is a service for casual gamers with older PCs, but the pricing is too high for casual gamers. If it was $14.95/month and you could play whatever you liked, that'd be fine.

Might also be of interest to Mac owners with no PC.

I might be more interested when the "Micro-Console" ships this winter. An easy way to play PC games on my TV wouldn't suck...

I went for the Lifetime too. Screw it, I've blown $300 on worse things in my day.   At least I won't have a raging headache the next morning with this!

And I did the LOTRO Lifetime as well and still play it.

how soon til the umd games/movies are shipped back to sony because no one needs them anymore?
will it have a large enough internal memory to get you started or will you be forced to by a large memory stick just to have to enjoy the thing?
will it have a wireless store to download games from or will they make you use your ps3, if you dont own a ps3 are u screwed?
also, will it use the same interface or pull a dsi?

1) The PSP 3000 will remain in production along side the PSP Go, so the UMD games will still be needed.
2) 16 gigs on board flash memory
3) It uses the PSN store, same as the current PSP.
4) Same interface.

It comes out in the fall, they didn't get more specific than that.

If you have a Qore annual subscription, go to your Download list on PSN, scroll down to the Qore stuff. The June episode says "Coming Soon" but the download button works. I just downloaded it and watched the segment on the PSPgo.

I like it. I would like it more if they put a touch screen on it.

The mention Gran Turismo, LBP and Metal Gear games coming out for it, but they're also pushing it hard as a media player and remote play of PS3 content. That (I think) is why there's no clamshell cover...they expect you to be watching videos on it, a la the iPhone/iPod Touch.

But again, without a touch screen....

Uncharted was an awesome single player experience. Adding multiplayer can only dilute the gameplay experience. I'd rather they put the resources they're devoted to Deathmatch Drake into making a better solo game.

I've been following Kutcher for a while now, and actually find him pretty interesting at times. Yeah, this stunt is goofy, but it's been pretty interesting watching some of the qik vids he and MrsKutcher post, particularly when they turn the tables on paparazzi and watch them scatter like the cockroaches they are.

As for the too cool kids that thing Twitter is totally dumb, well, most of the people around you probably think that commenting on a gaming site is just as pointless and dumb.

I didn't real all the comments so if I'm repeating someone I apologize.

One thing Jeff didn't really emphasize is that the gear you're using on your end is pretty much irrelevant. You cold be using an old PC, or a Mac, or that mini-console pictured. Maybe even a Netbook.

I still don't believe the system will work as well as they claim. At least not now.

I upgraded from a TG-16 to a TurboDuo to play this game... that add-on cd player was so clunky...

To me is was a lot more like Alice (http://www.alice.org/)  or Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu/) than  LittleBigPlanet. But I guess when all you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail.
