1. Phantom Dust: I've been waiting for a new one since the original came out. Reboot or Remake, this could be fucking amazing.

2. Mass Effect: The entire series was amazing. Probably my favorite series. More than ready for more of this universe.

3. No Mans Sky: This game is doing what I wish Mass Effect would do: Seamless transition from world to space. I think that in and of itself is a fucking cool mechanic worthy of checking out.

So, why is everyone assuming this is a remake? The only person in the trailer that came from the first game is the girl. This could very well be an entirely new game, easily set before the events of the first one knowing how the world was made at the end of the first.

That's true but at the E3 conference itself the trailer was announced under the context of 'we like reviving old games, like Killer Instinct'. My guess is that the story is going to be retold (it's a great one anyway).

I agree too, though, a Protagonist vs. Freya sequel could also be a great story.

I was told Major Nelson tweeted that it was an HD Remake, which I would be pissed about given the seemingly new protagonist. Even under the context of 'we like reviving old games, like Killer Instinct', my point is this: KI doesn't really have a story (as far as I know), so KI is more a reboot, much like this could be.
I'm hoping to god its a reboot of the franchise, and not a remake. I'm also kinda hoping that even if this game comes out great, and people love it, we don't get another one for another 10 or so years. I don't want to see one of my favorite IP's of all time become the subject of a yearly bastardization process.
Now for me, the only way E3 could get better is if somebody, ANYBODY, announces a Jade Cocoon 3.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm also looking for more games to play once New Leaf gets old.

I just bought my 3DS at the beginning of April, so these are what I have:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Pokemon X
Fire Emblem: Awakening

Reserving:
Tomodachi Life

I've played the demos for MHU3 and liked it, but not enough that I'd ever really want to buy it. I was looking into Bravely Default but I don't like Final Fantasy style games too much.
I'm also not that much of a "NINTENDO CHARACTER MEANS GREAT GAME" kinda person.
I'm picky man, I just wanna have fun.

None. You know how it goes: you remove one game from history, come back to your own timeline, and suddenly the communists have taken over, there's a giant statue of Lenin in the middle of New York, Zeppelins are the primary form of air travel, the coffee bean is extinct so everyone has to drink Comrade Cola instead, all game development is state-controlled and regulated, bullets are the primary currency, worldwide radiation levels are super-high, and the automobile was never invented.

I'm not willing to risk that.

You forgot to add the part where your dad is killed and your mom is married to Biff.

@TheHT: I feel like that should've been one of the options for a new game. Any new player who saw a checklist would say "OH SHIT" and back out back to the menu before with the shitty choices, whereas people who have played all the games would know what they're doing and go through the checklist as desired.

I'm more of a rap guy, but the one band I can listen to and enjoy no matter what is HIM.

Haters gonna hate.

Other than that the other people I can listen to and without fail enjoy are Kanye West, Eminem, and Drake.

I'll probably get shit for it, but Take Care by Drake was easily my favorite album of 2011.
