Control options are the key. The Vita can do every game the iPhone can do (touch, location and gyro based), plus it can do any game the PS3/360 can do, and it can do new games that iPhone, PS3, and 360 can't do that utilize rear touch, augmented reality and portable twin-stick plus a number of buttons.

We are definitely only seeing the first round of games and I expect the options on the platform to expand tremendously in the next year.

I think the breadth of titles for the Vita by 3rd Parties has not been determined yet. If as I have heard it is quite easy (relatively speaking) to produce a PS Vita version after developers produce a PS3 version and they think they can get more money out of it, then I think it will happen.

I wouldn't predict EA to be the first to try, but I could easily see a Collector's edition that includes a PS Vita version along with the PS3. I think Sony will set the stage with titles like Warrior's Lair and Motorstorm RC as they are both PS3 and PS Vita Titles in one combined download. Pricing will be key here. What would you be wiling to pay for getting both a PS3 and PS Vita version? Or if you already purchased the PS3 version what would you pay to add on a Vita version via download?

Rumors have said that they will be cheaper but I wouldn't expect an announcement on that until just before the First Edition Bundle launches on Feb. 15th.(As they wouldn't want to cut down on pre-orders).

Joystiq says they will be cheaper http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/05/report-us-vita-games-will-cost-less-digitally-than-at-retail/

And in Japan the titles are cheaper on PSN (quote here is about 20% for a Square Enix title Army Corps of Hell)

Hopefully since February is just a few days away we will here official word soon.

32 GB for myself. Best value and I am sure I will fill it up.

Plus to McShark's question the new 3G Data plan options in the US are

250 MB per Month / $15

3GB per Month / $30

with no contract and a free month of the 250 MB level service with PS Vita 3G unit purchase.

I want to have the option going forward. To be fair I bought an iPad 1 with 3G support for my wife and she never used it. And that price difference was $129.

Personally for me the First Edition Bundle is the way to go because I want to get the thing a week early. I am really interested to see what the prices for games on PSN for PS Vita will be.

Oh and just to add the 3G models include a free game on PSN (No details given as to which title or how much it is worth) as well as a free month to try out the service. Plus it doesn't have a contract so you can cancel any time.

I have a feeling the game will only be a PSN Download. I am hoping the price is $19.99 Of course this is the PAIN developer so perhaps they will go even lower and then supplement it with a bunch of Downloadable add-ons.

I find the 2 analog sticks in symmetric positions (like the Dual Shock 3) to be more comfortable. There is a small period of time to get use to them but after about a day with my PS3 I very much preferred the configuration. I am glad to see they went with the same idea for the Vita.
