@JoeMarsden: Why would you buy Portal 2 if you weren't impressed with Portal 2? We all have different tastes... but if Portal wasn't something that won you over why repeat the experience?
Personally Portal(from the 360 orange box) was an addictive, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable gaming experience that was different then most of the games I have played. I'm only up to chapter 5 so far and I'm loving the experience. I wish there were more games that were as enjoyable as Portal or Portal 2.
I check written reviews but I learn more from simple podcast conversations. I think it's easier to hear someones excitement level or interests in a game then it is from some "well crafted" BS piece. I enjoy the GB reviews. IGN written reviews are too long, and some off them seem less then sincere. As much as I like the joystiq podcast, I don't like their reviews.
I just bought a PSP from target 2 nights ago because it was on clearance. I'm going to return it. It's just not for me. Seem to be a nice handheld but I have more fun with simpler games on my iPhone.
I don't think MS or Sony want to do another console until at least 2013, which is fine by me.
MS needs to make up for what they lost on faulty consoles. Sony took along time to start making a profit.
The Wii supposedly was close to profit day one. Most of the Wii owners are SMILFs and Wii sport people who aren't hardcore gamers. A Wii HD might make me take notice finally but Wii 2 will not have success like the Wii.
