This is a great idea for a thread. It reminded me of the not-quite-related mashup of Disney Animation by Lindsay McCutcheon, Fan.tasia. The song featured is yet another mashup by Madeon called Pop Culture.

It's a real jam. Definitely not anime, not in traditional AMV form either. But it has some really creative edits.

I’ve been having this issue for quite some time but I haven’t been able to understand it.

I cannot play Giant Bomb content on tvOS for Apple TV without the video dropping to 1 FPS while the audio playback continues normally. Replacing the hardware or software updates do not resolve this.

I’ve tried third-party apps on tvOS to stream via the API. I’ve done the same with apps on iOS/iPadOS and then streamed+AirPlay, or downloaded+AirPlay. I’ve downloaded the HD file from the site via Safari and tried AirPlay. After a few minutes of normal playback, I get the 1 FPS video which cannot be resolved thereafter.

I have no idea what’s going on but it has been a problem for me for at least a year.

With the Black Friday Flash Sale, this game is $10. If you still haven't used the 10% off code it's only $9 in any basket using that code. I'm going to pick it up, seems like the right price for me.

@jeff: I think we all appreciate the fact that the site still exists and continues to represent what it did before his passing. You said it wasn't even a decision to keep going back when all this unfolded but I am still grateful that you folks are all still around and doing what you do. As much as things have changed you guys keep nailing it the same. As a viewer, a better tribute could not be had for Ryan Davis.

@soup_menu: It's so awesome to see you in here addressing bugs and answering questions. I'm also having the "remember playback position bug" and am grateful that your paying attention. I already have the Support Rank D in-app purchase but I just grabbed Rank C and B to thank you again for the great software. I'll be cheapskate and save Rank A for picture-in-picture support, but this way I can give you as much as possible without just mailing a cheque haha.

Thanks again.

@thurbleton: I appreciate the the thoughtful reply.

I haven't written off PC games, a few of them were very formative to me. Currently the expense and little frustrations mean I'd rather spend my time playing than building. My laptop is old and just doesn't cut it, and lately my free time has been short.

As friendly as Steam is these days to couches and controllers, it is still not as painless as a console is with preset layout and button prompts for every title. I really value that part of the experience. While the performance differences are apparent, it doesn't turn my stomach to play some games in 30fps.

Their are awesome new technologies that I want in on (PCIe SSDs, variable frame rate monitors, virtual reality), so waiting might make that more reasonable. I just don't want the work of a PC for what amounts to a console on steroids. I want everything the platform has to offer. Right now, for my life, that requires a little more than I'm willing to give.

Thanks again for the reply.

I bought the previous game three times: twice on PS3 (EU & EW) and once on iOS for iPad. I'm disappointed I won't get to play this one unless I decide to spend a decent amount on a PC. I'd buy it on PS4 in a heartbeat.

You bought an iPad, so I'm not sure you have much ground to stand on here.

Plenty of ground. I don't need to justify my lifestyle to you. A tablet has more uses to me than a gaming PC, and so does my home theatre where I prefer to play games.

Not when you're talking about costs. If you don't want one, that's fine, but to say expenditure is a major factor is pretty funny. Bragging about your home "theatre" only makes it more so.

Also, "a tablet" doesn't necessarily equate to "iPad" since there are many other better and simultaneously cheaper alternatives. Which was kind of my point: you pay out the nose for a certain brand/OS, then balk at buying a computer, which would get you better-playing versions of games (which you can also hook up to that fancy speaker system and TV). I dunno, I just thought it was amusing. Carry on.

I'm not bragging about anything. I was just explaining my preferences. Home theatre is a way to explain a TV, receiver, speakers, and set top boxes, in not so many words. Mine is very modest compared to whatever extravagance you thought up reading my comment. I just prefer a comfy chair and a controller to a desk and a keyboard. As an expenditure my living room gets many more hours of use than a computer. Music, movies, games, and it's where I watch web content like Giant Bomb.

Yabbering on about what brands I buy is petty. See past your own biases before you claim I pay through the nose for anything or claim I am getting a "worse" product. You don't know the first thing about my needs and desires and why a PlayStation and an iPad fulfilled those best for me. I mentioned both because they are some platforms that XCOM: Enemy Within was available on, and they were the versions of the game I loved playing and would buy XCOM 2 on them were it available. That was the only point: a PC is not what I have and I would love to support this game.
