Announcing that any medium is 'supposed to be' anything is arbitrary and limiting. A creation is 'supposed to be' whatever it's being created to be. The Walking Dead game wasn't 'fun' as much as it was thrilling and draining. That doesn't make it less than, say, a Mario game which is specifically designed to be fun. So I always roll my eyes at things like 'supposed to be' like I roll my eyes at suggestions that some things are 'normal' and others are not. Like 'normal', 'supposed to be' only aims to constrain and hold back creativity and expression.
It makes Microsoft look like a company that doesn't know what the fuck their doing. The 'shooting from the hip' business model probably isn't a good one.
