DS games I love

I'll add more when I either come across them or remember them.
and no I don't like Mario, or animal crossing or pokemon.

List items

  • Must..resist..emo..urgings.

With its completely different take on the stale RPG formula, inventive controls and Zetta cool characters. TWEWY is easily one of the best games on the system.

    So Cah Toa bitches

  • The game that sold a 1000 DSes (whats the plural of DS?)..okay maybe only 2.

But still its a great game with a great soundtrack and insane concepts. Yes Ouendan is the original, but I think this is the best

  • My favourite of the series bar the OG gba games.

It has GaoGaiGar in it. Thats how awesome this game is.

A SRPG for the mech fan in your family, SWRW takes what worked on the original versions (ie crazy attack cutscenes, masses of customisation and fanfiction storylines) and makes it better.

    HIKARE NI NARE

  • A one of a kind series. TC was a revolution in gaming for me. Its basically a puzzle game done up with an anime storyline and fluctuating difficulty. Saving people from GUILT gave the puzzles a sense of meaning as opposed to the usual irrelevancy that they are given.

Shame my touchscreen is getting on a bit.

  • Do you like Shonen anime? Do you like Super Smash Bros? Do you like evolving your characters and fiddling with new ways of playing?

Then this sir, is the game for you. Hours of play mixed with a fun combat system and tons of playable characters make this one of the games i enjoyed most on my DS

  • I've always been a massive SMT fan since I first played Nocturne.

I picked this game over Strange Journey because..well I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more.

Instead of the First Person view we have another SRPG with SMT trademark fusion and demon skills. The storyline conceit seems to have been directly taken from TWEWY, but still it managed to be fresh and exciting. A great game that still has not been released in the EU.

  • The first and so the one that goes on the list.

This in part gave me the idea to go do a law degree.

Great game, great storylines, great fun. Play it now.

  • I remembered vaguely the original version when it came out.

Playing it again on the DS was a revelation. Lovely graphics, great storyline and the touchscreen really did fit in well with the control scheme. The extra Nico scenes are always welcome.

  • First game I had for my DS.

I love Castlevania games...and ones that take after Metroid all the more so.

  • Take what was great about Viva Pinata, shrink it and put it in a DS.

Very soothing, and basically a fun game about tending a garden and the assorted animals with it.

  • I really enjoyed playing this, the old school re imaging of games like star soldier worked well.

Add to this all the trappings, the magazines, cheat codes etc. Its nostalgia for something that never really existed.
