PS3 collection circa 2011?

Confessions of a bargain bin gaming junkie.

I'm gonna mark the one's that i bought full price...just for my own amusement.

List items

  • Bad bad bad backend on this game.

Janky was made to describe this one, but it's an improvement on the first and you can appreciate what they tried to do.

Seriously though..holding R2 to stay transformed? What were they thinking?

  • Fine for what it is...still haven't finished it though

    *full price*

  • I didn't like the demo, but for £12.49 i couldn't really say no.

  • Finally..i get to play shitty games again

  • Love it

    *full price*

  • While mad and completely insane..the whole 'blow up x amount of things to do the next mission' annoyed the hell out of me.

  • £16.99 from thehut brand new.

I'm pretty much outta money for the month now..but I couldn't say no now, could I?

  • What is this future business?

We don't have that in the EU...

its just Ratchet and Clank...future my foot.

  • HEAVEN OR HELL?

    Oh wait...thats the other one.

  • Loving it.

It's the marmite of gaming, you either like it or you don't.

  • Great game that has a bad rep due to how spoilt gamers are these days for choice..or the bugs that i never had appear in my playthrough. Who knows. Go back to COD.

  • Does what it says on the tin.

    Looks fantastic though.

  • Worst game I've ever played.

    I love mechs...but really?

    ergh

  • Did not enjoy this.

Idea is great, destruction is great..but the actual way the game plays sucks.

  • Hewitt vs Nadal

I love pissing my nephew off with drop shots

  • Love this game.

    Only £9.99

    shame really

  • Pikmin but with a big sword.

    Good fun

  • Far superior to the first, a great, dumb action game.

Script was funny..but dumb as hell.

    *full price*

  • I enjoyed this far more than Infamous...but i'd still say Infamous was the superior game.

If we'd have had a mix of the two...oh what a game that would have been.

    *full price*

  • GOTY for me last year.

Fantastic story, VO (in Italian) and mechanics.

    *full price*

  • Cheap as chips, and i have a soft spot for FM games (not FMV games however)

  • Waiting for it to arrive, I enjoyed the first so hopefully i'll like this one.

  • One of those purchases you regret later.

I enjoyed the original way back when, but in a post Bayonetta world these games look crap and play like crap..even in HD. I don't understand all the reverence they get..but thats not my problem.

  • lacking everything of the above games...not bad, but certainly boring.

  • Fantastic value for money, and wonderful games.

    *full bargain price*

  • hey, you like DR1?

Well it's more of the same.

I finished the first game way back when..now it's too much of a slog.

    *full price*

  • Meh, it's always nice to play as Deadpool (infact i run around Minecraft as deadpool) but it's not as fun as the first. Takes itself too seriously?

  • My childhood come alive

    atatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatata

    *full price*

  • Ltd edition with vinyl for $20

    yes please

    Game?

    eh not so much.

  • My second favourite RPG series after 'Tales'.

I'll probably end up buying a 360 just to play Vesperia.

    Anyway, cheap once again...

  • yeah....I know.

  • Nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Jeff review is spot on. I also have no problem with the traversal aspect of the game, it works well for me. Combat can get a bit mashy, and the online is almost dead.

STOP PLAY COD FFS. There are other games on the planet.

    *full price*

  • It's kinda fun, but the environments are drab (can't really be helped i suppose) and whenever Starscream isn't around it gets rather dull, Megatron continues to annoy me 15 years later.

Nobody was playing online either, which is a shame cause it looks fun.

  • Ltd edition for under $12?

    Sure..why not?

  • Despite the lack of a jump button and how short the game is, its still well worth playing.

    Platinum killed it this year.

  • I could have done with an extra year between the two games, but it's still a work of art...literally. Shame the story was rather lacking and was purely a stop gap measure.

    *full price*

  • It's nice, but it gets boring very quickly compared to ACB

  • Loved the snow level, hated everything else that i played of it.

  • Love it

  • How could I have a PS3 and not have this?

Genius...only complaint i have is that it was wrapped up too tidily for my liking.

    *full price* (£35)

  • I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I thought i would.

Still waiting to be finished though.

    bad habit I know.

  • Played as a mage..good fun, but got over taken by other games.

Look forward to revisiting it sometime.

  • and here's another one..though in a very different vein. Gorgeous, engrossing...one of the best games on the system

  • I love tactical shooters, so..here's one of my favourites.

  • So much better than the film. Great combat, but it does drag on a bit.

  • I like what they tried to do, but hated the way the did it.

  • Well..after all the bruhaha about LP2 i thought i'd buy this.

    Still in the wrapper.

  • Fiddy finally hit that ramp.

    Woohaa

  • Awesome game, with dodgy QTEs.

I find playing Bayonetta very relaxing...

  • ....

Do i need to justify this?

  • Game of the year so far for me. Massive difficulty spike near the end, but its a good, solid, fun RPG.

  • The epitome of perfectly balanced FPS controls.

    Not really my scene though

  • I'm still warming to this game. Its very impressive, but I still have problems with the controls and certain gameplay choices R* have made.

edit: Gave up at Mexico. Not my game.

    *full price* (£35)

  • More Gundam. Not really that great a game to be honest.

  • Seems fun enough...Jack Black isn't actually that annoying it seems

  • Yeah...Didn't do so much for me in the end.

    Nice concept though

  • This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! It's loud roar tells me to defeat you! Take this! My love! My anger! And all of my sorrow! Erupting... burning... FINGER!

    HEAT END

    *full price* (£35)

  • I love Gundam...what can I say?

  • A work of art as far as I'm concerned. Great script, nice combat system, and characters you actually care about.

  • or mega drive collection if you're from these parts.

I grew up with a megadrive (and an amiga if you're interested)

Story of thor is worth this alone.

  • Kareoke for those times when you need it

  • Well..its Metroid dressed up as Batman.

Not a bad thing, especially with Hamill and Conroy doing the voices...but it could have been so much more IMO. Lack of Robin also pissed me off. Babs yes, Grayson/Drake no? psssht.

  • As opposed to RE5 which was RE4.5 to be honest.

Great game, never had a problem with Shiva's AI. Crap ending for one of the greatest villains of all time though.

    *full price*

  • I was sooo hyped for this game. I watched all the motion comics (with awesome art by Steve Niles) and waited in anticipation for the game.

    What a let down.

Bored me to death after 5 levels. I love what they did with the inventory and health...but everything else was awful.

edit: Finished now. Last boss was annoying as hell with the slow aiming. 2nd should be better..right?

  • not as good as the first...too Michael Bay for my liking, but still a fun, dumb game.

  • I actually got this the first time when i got my ps3 and i HATED it.

2 years later, after playing the rather good psp game I picked this up for 5euros.

Now I have to admit its some of the most fun I've had on the ps3...note i never play multiplayer on anything.

  • As i said, not the biggest fan of FPS games, but this and the next two I really enjoyed.

  • Interesting game..not that great to actually play though

  • Still playing it..still dying repeatedly

    ah well.

  • Great game...if you have the time that is.

After completing the first in about 120hrs I've got to wait for a real game drought to get stuck into this one again

  • Lovely to look at, boring as hell to play. What happened to all the traps?

  • Great to watch, god awful to play

    JASSSOONNN

    *full price* (£35)

  • Awesome game.

Give me floaty numbers and customisation and I'll be happy until I have something newer to play

  • It was £7.99...what can I say?

  • I loved the first two, and tried 3 times to get into this....but I just couldnt.

    Not for me

  • and this one (i prefer Rock band personally)

  • and this one

  • Not really my scene, but my nephews and nieces love this game
