I wouldn't call it scammed. They sold something to your dad and it was legit. It would be a scam if the card wasn't actually a Charizard card. I remember kids playing Pokemon in elementary school and hearing about Charizard being worth upwards of 300 bucks. My grandparents bought me one of those 50 state coin displays that was supposed to be worth "hundreds of dollars in the future" on tv. Now its not even worth the quarters that are in it. Even then I wouldn't call it a scam.

Edit: Oh and to answer the topic. I'd say no.

@mroldboy: You are jumping to some really big and weird conclusions. How is putting a game on a harddrive pushing the consumer to spend money on something they may or may not want? It's no different than the hundreds of bundles Sony has put together over the years and you don't need to spend money to have a good time in Planetside 2.

I like most of those Photoshopped PS4s, except for the ones that involve purple/pink and green combo, gold/yellow, and the woodgrain. Also, the controller in any other color just looks like an incredibly cheap piece of crap (except maybe white).

Edit: And when I say it looks like an incredibly cheap piece of crap, I mean it looks like a Mad Catz turbo controller from the PSX era.

Broke my heart to see Timmy like that, but they had it in game 6. David Stern is gleaming with his Miami Heat beating his biggest annoyance that just won't go away(SA Spurs). It was a great series, blowouts and all.

Oh I know, I'm just saying that if you want to replace it that you can get a pretty good deal on one in a month or two. I say if you want to replace it after the PS4 do it, but I don't see a reason for a trade-in and buy a new one at 150 bucks. I have an 80 gig that is loud as hell when just watching netflix(it's a dedicated netflix player since the blu-ray drive broke on it).

I have to think that the PS3 will get a price drop near or around the time of Gamescom (if not then probably around the time of the PS4 release). On black friday, I'd bet you'd be able to get a new ps3 with 2-3 games bundled with it for 199 or less. I got my new PS3 slim 2 years ago during black friday for 199 with 2 games(Little Big Planet 2 and the co-op ratchet game). So, I say wait and see.

Now if only Aisha Tyler was like this during the Ubisoft conference....
