They may not make games like this anymore, but maybe they should. Larian's latest CRPG is a deeply satisfying turn-based adventure that rewards players with patience.
Diablo III is a great game that, despite its mouse-and-keyboard roots, adapts to consoles surprisingly well.
Ubisoft Montpellier's take on the first World War is a surprisingly heartfelt adventure.
@Jeff and @danryckert,
yep, definitely anime Alex at 12:08...
Oh god, can't stop laughing! The best Kinect Quick Look since Hulk Hogan's Main Event.
Damnit Dan, why couldn't you have had your Facebook linked to the 360... :D
Seeing as this was made in the Unity engine, I wonder why it took them so long to port it... For the most part, I imagine the only things they would have had to change are minor and related to control input.
@cim: Damn, beat me to my delete. Went to the steam page and saw that. Good call. :)The lowering of the bar for game development has some side effects. Nearly unplayable garbage like this title seems to be one of them. Good on this one guy for trying, but he definitely has a problem with over-scoping his idea.
Alex Navarro shall henceforth be known as hello Jenny.
For some reason, @danryckert's "HYEARGH!!" at 4:32 in the video makes me laugh uncontrollably. I've noticed it on a couple of other videos he's done with Jeff like the Freedom stream playing that Hello Kitty game.
Are you sure? The main melody part from the Emerald Hill song doesn't just sound poor quality wise. I was saying it also sounds like it's pulling a wrong instrument for the track. Like when you use a poorly constructed emulator to run a ROM. I remember playing SNES ROMs back in the late 90s and sounds wouldn't play back correctly. And didn't they say the Retron 5 uses software and not hardware this time around? Couldn't there be a chance they don't have really solid emulation code which could screw up the sounds?
Yeah, Jeff was right about the audio. On top of the output sounding like crap / being distorted, the Retron 5 seems to be pulling the wrong instrumentation for the Genesis audio.
Here's how the emerald zone levels should sound in Sonic 2.
RIP to the Dudest of Duders. We miss you, Ryan.
