People who saw my earlier posts(and my TNT performance lol) may remember that I am a very new player of Street Fighter as Super Street Fighter IV is my first entry to the series. So far I have played mostly Juri. I have tried to learn a few of her moves, and so far have the inputs for one is burned into my mind. I assume that is what fighting games are all about. Burning Inputs into our minds so I think I am on the right track.
My question is; should I stick with Juri as a character choice? I know she is good for Newbies which is why I picked her and so far I like using her but Is there some other newbie character that is a better choice though?
So over the last couple months I have discovered that I am totally into tower defense games. I have played a few console downloadable ones so far such as Defense Grid, South Park, Crystal Defenders, Ninja Town, and Savage Moon. What I am looking for is good free PC ones. I know that Desktop Tower Defense is something that I should totally check out. Any others?
I had the lucky chance of playing Super Street Fighter 4 with the Giant Bomb community during the first ever Thursday Night Throwdown. I got my ass kicked hard but had a great time doing it, and to be fair, It was by a guy who went on to beat everyone in the room. Immediately after that I went on to win my first ranked match online and that was a very cool moment for me. I look forward to more Street Fighting in the future.
Today was also the soft launch of the Halo Reach beta. I was lucky enough to get a code from a friend and jumped pretty much right in. So far, it's totally Halo, but there are a ton of new features, game types, and all around differences that make it feel like something new. It feels like the "next" Halo. They don't have all the playlists open yet but the game modes they have are a good mix of new and old. The biggest change is the armor abilities. Being able to Sprint is a god send for me and the other abilities really allow people to play in new unique ways. The one thing that is going to take some time for me to get used to is the way Melee works now. Waiting for the shields to pop before punching people is way different than just shooting a little bit and then punching. I will have plenty of time to get used to it though because I plan on playing this beta every day until it goes away.
Today marks my entry into the Street Fighter series. I picked up SSF4 today on a whim mostly because I have a few friends playing it and I decided now is a good time to get in on the action. I also picked it up now sooner than later so i could participate in this week's Thursday Night Throwdown. So far, everything that long time players say about getting your ass kicked staring out is completely true both against random players and even friends.
I played about 30 matches or so. 20 of them were with 2 good friends of mine and about 10 were against random players on XBL. I won about 2 matches against my friend but only because he was screwing around and let me win. I did not win a single match against any random online players. I did win a couple rounds though. So far I am enjoying my time with the game and am optimistic about the long road ahead to learning the ropes.

This week, the new Borderlands DLC makes us laugh a little too much. Probune gets annoyed at JDUB's slow motion Heavy Rain antics. We bring in a little Joseph at the end, because a little Joseph goes a long way.

The Broken Face Mob assembles for a much shorter podcast party this week, in which Bioshock 2 multiplayer, MAG, Saint's Row 2, PSN games, and much more are discussed, with each of their faces broken respectively, because that's kind of our thing.
