Before I get destroyed, I'm not saying they should make a L4D3 so soon, I'm just saying when or if they do, I would love if it were set in the American Wild West. 
 
You know what is awesome? Saloon fights. You know what would make Salloon fights even better? Zombies! 
When you think about it, everything that the Wild West has to offer sounds even better with Zombies. 
 
Stage Coaches + Zombies  
Mine Carts + Zombies 
Dynamite + Zombies  
Trains + Zombies 
Horses + Zombies = ZOMBIE HORSES! 
 
ETC ETC.

Well they've already announced that they're not making another L4D and even if they did, your idea is good but it sounds better for DLC.

It's to be assumed they meant they are not making one right now, correct? They are not just going to abandon the franchise.

I really want to see an open world zombie game. Like GTA but with zombies instead of civilians running around. Missions picked up from the scattered survivors.

No, I like the world they're set in already and I'd like them to expand on the story of it. 
 
My theory, There will be one more Left 4 Dead game (following the covers' color patterns: first green, then yellow and finally red.) Then the series will take a long hiatus and be resurrected as "Left For Dead" and be open world.

i got the perfect opening scene. You and another are in a duel in a saloon, and a zombie breaks through the front door and rips the guy apart. You shoot the zombie, and find there are many more outside, so you and your group run away and it then begins. That could also work with RDR's zombie DLC, but without the group.

I recall hearing about a Wild West Left 4 Dead game idea before. Or maybe it is just such an awesome idea I am amazed no one thought of it before.

Isn't that kind of Dead Rising?  Excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong, because I've only played it once for about 10 minutes, but that was kind of the impression I garnered from it. "

i've always wanted to see a zombie game set as the world's falling apart, with not just zombies running around but also terrified civilians and cops and troops desperately trying to keep order, with your character in the middle of it all. unfortunately, the closest i've ever seen a game get to this is in prototype when you go into infested zones.

Meh, I would rather it be set in modern times again but in London or Tokyo or something and have more variety of guns.

You know why this would suck? because you could only fire 6 shots before taking minutes to reload. I guarantee you that you will die, and the game would be broken.

There will be another L4D game, its made them heaps and a lot of people love it. It would be dumb to not make one sometime. But i do hope another one doesn't come out soon. But not as long as esp 3. "

If there is a L4D3, it should be in Europe, not the wild west.
