Animations are always what break it for me as well. Think we might be a long way away from seeing that as natural. The human mind is to perceptive of this type of this stuff and any little thing that is off breaks the whole illusion.
Sorry about the sexual frustration, lol. Really was only starting this blog to get some of the quests finished for the site. Never saw any other site do anything like this before. Very clever way to create an active community.
New to the Giantbomb community, seems like a really great site, definitely not a troll. And the visuals are just what keep me coming back (and buying $400 video cards). I also appreciate story and art style. Played Oblivion for hundreds of hours, the graphics are only what first drew me in.
Always been intrigued by the rapidly advancing state of graphics on its never ending quest for "photo realism". For me it all started the day I walked outside in the first unreal game to the, at the time, unbelievable vista that was in front of my eyes. Still get goose bumps whenever a new games shows me something that I've never seen before or thought was possible. As long as there are new Quakes, Dooms, Oblivions, and Crisis's in the world I will always be a diehard PC gamer. Not that I won't appreciate the gameplay I get on my 360, ps3, and wii, but breathtaking visuals will always be the drug that keeps me coming back. On that note hurry up and get here Elder Scrolls Skyrim.
