I WAS going to get it on PC. I have a respectable computer, and would love to be one of the 64 players in a conquest match, but everything I've heard about Origin has completely turned me off to the idea.
One of my co-workers installed it with the intention of pre-ordering Battlefield 3. While it was scanning his hard drive for "non-personally identifiable" information (that they can sell to 3rd parties as they see fit - something every BF3 PC player has allowed them to do...), it came across his encrypted files and couldn't leave them well enough alone, apparently, because he later found they had a file size of 0 bytes - wiped clean.
Also, the fact that they can just get rid of your account after two years of inactivity really bothers me. I mean, I understand that 2 years is a long time, but this just gives me another reason to fear an all-digital future.
The only way I'd get this game on PC is if I build a PC strictly for Origin games... which isn't going to happen unless it becomes economically viable in the future, somehow. Either way, I'm probably going to start reading ToSs now.
I'll deal with 24 player matches and less-impressive-but-still-eye-burstingly-good graphics to keep my digital dignity. PS3 for me.
