I've gotten all the way to the last boss, beaten all the main optional bosses (skipped or two world bosses because they're repeats of fights I've no interest in repeating AGAIN) and just stopped playing. Nothing is driving me to try and beat the final boss who is one of my least favourite types of bosses to have to fight in these games - particularly in a melee build.
I definitely got my monies worth but over all I think this is my least favourite From game and like some others I'm sort of worried that the success of this will is going to lead to more of their games being like this than not.
Even all the major bosses I found to feel samey as others have said. Everyone seems to have the same 4 core design rules. Lots of big chain combos, lots of AoE centred around the boss, lots of big wind up attacks, lots of tracking attacks and some really, really noticeable input reading.
The bosses have Sekiro style combat but you don't have a Sekiro style moveset to deal with it.
I don't live in America but can someone explain why you vote for Democrats and they say things like they'll codify Roe and they'll fight for abortion rights and then they just let this happen and come back with "but vote!"?
Like vote for what? If there's some SCOTUS that can just be made up of 5-6 people or whatever and they can do stuff like this - and the current Democrats just go "aw shucks" what are you actually supposed to do?
Who are they saying to vote for? To vote blue in all states because apparently at a state level they can do something? Even though there's from what I understand a blue guy in the whitehouse and a majority blue in the senate?
How are Democrats not just able to do essentially what they will with that combo? (Unless I'm wrong, which I could be, American politics is very confusing)

@mikachops: Some of the most recent content of the Waypoint crew ripping into Rob for smashing his oven top up has been absolute 5 star material and that's entirely remote. Same for Rob and Ren playing various warhammer games
I found a pretty reliable twitter account to follow in my country. Myself and about 6 other friends all got ours through that guy. I don't know who he is, but he definitely has the inside track on when stores here are going to put their allocations up for sale online.
I live in a pretty small country though so I doubt it'd work well for bigger ones.
I don't think you'll be able to just buy one off a shelf for retail price for at least another year.
@shindig:I and another friend both agree with you that we think the open world actually hurt what we liked most about these games. Dungeons started to become less exciting to explore when you find they're just sort of samey and you get 1 of 10 copy pasted bosses at the end.
When it comes to the big fights - everything just sort of felt the same. Every story boss had
A long string multi-hit combo
A wind up attack that punished for you if you attack to early
AoE centred around them (You wanted to play melee? Fuck you)
A jump attack that usually resulted in AoE around them (different than the previously mentioned AoE)
A point in which the previous multi-hit combo, now has additional hits
Absolutely fucking awful input reading. It's hilarious to watch Malenia side step a swarm of flies from across the room just because the AI is programmed to have her side step magic attacks
So my problem didn't end up being that bosses felt samey (the four you mentioned though yeah they might as well be all the same dude) - it's that even when there was sceptical (black blade..) - it felt rubbish because I wasn't enjoying the fights at all (also half his fight is a repeat of another optional guy).
ER's boss fights at times felt like Sekiro boss fights except with the player tools for fighting in Sekiro removed.
After about 60 hours the shine wore off for me a good bit and I went from plans of NG+ to plans of "well lets just finish this out" which has never happened to me with a From game before.
@apewins: Because when you want to use a controller on a console the entire console is designed around you using that controller to interface with it. Every single game you buy on your console will be 100% guaranteed to work with that console.
If I want to use a controller on PC I better hope the game I want to play is a) on steam b) has good controller support. Otherwise I'm still going to need to use a keyboard and mouse to launch my games and get around the Windows interface because using a controller to do that is absolute trash.
It's 2022 and every other game I try play with a PS4 controller is a crap shoot if it will work or not. Does it need DS4 or not? Steam say they support it but will the game? Why does this multiplayer game think that my one controller is actually 3? This game is on EGS - will it support my controller? Who knows. Can I hack it by launching EGS through Steam? Maybe, maybe not.
I play on both PC and console depending on what game I'm playing or the mood I'm in. I own two FF14 licenses so that after a long day of sitting at my deck I don't have to continue to sit there at what feels like a workstation at this stage and I can just run my daily roulettes from a sofa using a controller.
