It was a horrible platformer and a weak RPG put together really.

Their customer service is dismal to this day.  Buying the NFL license and pumping out Madden games for a long time.

When you start bringing up stuff like Black, Crysis, Black & White, and licensed games of course there are a lot of people that think (rightfully so) that those games aren't so great either.

However, they have been doing better recently.  The free Burnout Paradise & Battlefield Bad Company content, upcoming titles that look great like Dead Space & Mirror's Edge...

Supposedly this one uses a brand new engine, and features a lot of improvements from the PC version.  I still have to try the demo first though.

Really?  The idea of having one gun that takes care of all your needs, thereby eliminating the need for inventories of guns in games?  How about the potential of an excellent Command & Conquer narrative?
I hate EA haters.  *ugh*

I don't hate EA, but I didn't think the game looked like it would turn out to be any good.  One gun that is the only gun you use?  Excuse to make a single gun model.

Besides that there's already been a C&C FPS game that wasn't so great, and I don't feel that C&C really needs more narrative.

Nope, never.

One of my friends turned into a real pothead for a while, and even tried other stuff.  I was even around when he used the stuff sometimes, but he seems to have come out of it pretty good.  His brother was even worse and now he's married, has a job and is very stable.  So they didn't really get messed up by the stuff.

I used Ubuntu for a while, just for practical OS useage.  It took a while to get used to some things, and I had to write part of my own video drivers.  It worked pretty well out of the disk, compared to old Red Hat Linux which I tried a VERY long time ago.

Many simple functions of the OS worked better & faster than Windows, but some stuff, like the actual time it took to start up the OS & Firefox, took longer.

I think I may go back to it for a while soon though, it was kind of fun.
