Top videogame tracks. Part 4 (top 4!)

So its been a while since a made a proper list. I like to go back from time to time and look at gaming and its ability to create unique experiences. The time has come for music again. This time I´m doing it with a twist tho. I´m going to single out specific tracks instead of whole soundtracks. I´m going to look at the song´s composition, its placement within the game, its ability to create a certain mood and the power of being remembered.
As usual theres really no right way to create such a list so keep in mind that this is only one version of a list that might have looked differently had I made it at a different date.
Ive also tried to not pick the most obvious ones. It remains to see however, if I will succeed at this or not.
But I´ve thought long and hard and my hope is that it will at least be interesting.
Feel free to add your own aswell !
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Number 4:
The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, PC, Main Theme

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Number 3:
Mega Man 2, NES, Dr Wily Stage 1

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Number 2:
Doom, PC, E1M1 Hangar

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Number 1:
StarCraft, PC, Terran Theme 2

No other track in the history of videogames brings so many feelings at the same time. Terran Theme 2 (here performed flawlessly on guitar together with the original composition) is a masterpiece of videogame music. Its foreboding, adrenaline pumping, mysterious and beautiful at the same time.
It works both inside and outside of the game and its Blizzards music staff at their peak and its a song that will never get old.

Check out Part 1 (20-15), Part 2 (14-10) and Part 3 (9-5) if you missed them.
Special mentions goes out to Hell March from Red Alert, the original Super Mario Bros 1-1 Theme, the Tetris Theme and Russel Shaw who should have had more than one track (Dungeon Keeper) on here with his fantastic work on games like Black & White, Theme Park and Fable 2.
Of course there are many many more that deserves a spot on a list like this, but thats how its always going to be.
Dont forget to create your own lists !
Spread the joy of videogame soundtracks !
